Farm life is hard work. When I was 10 I agreed to muck stalls to be taught how to ride horses. I worked from sunup to past sundown in the summer and as soon as I got off the bus when I was in school - everyday and loved every second. No it wasn’t pleasant and the smells aren’t fun but the reward of knowledge and the pure love of an animal is well worth it. Moving bales of hay, bags of feed, poop all day everyday. And that’s just the horses. When an animal depends on you for survival it makes them your family. The reward of a wet sloppy kiss or a subtle nuzzle.. that pup or chick that sits with you when you take a breather… nothing like it in the world. Makes your heart sing. Triumph and tragedy. We get through it because we have to and you do because you are a warrior. You work hard and lead by example. You love every minute and it shows. Katherine the Great !! ❤ I was lucky to experience that in my life and learn much from it. Your community is invaluable and the lessons vast. You posting takes much of your time as well. For all the work - thank you ❤ Farm On !

@ I see you and feel it all ❤️ how fortunate I was to have a father that grew up on a very large farm near you. Him and his siblings worked very hard every day. If there were crops they weren’t allowed to go to school. They had to stay and help to provide. He always liked to live away from the city in peace but never farmed again. Because he was forced he no longer enjoyed it. He did grow amazing tomatoes and other vegetables because he couldn’t stand the taste of the grocery produce 😂. That placement allowed me the opportunity to meet farmers and horse stables, cow farms, and more. I was young but it was one of the best time of my life. It taught me to work hard and respect the land and animals. Oh how I still love horses and all animals. I will return when I am able and I can only hope to become a part of a community like yours. There aren’t enough hours in the day to get it all done. On top of what you show like you said you cook clean and all the other things a mother, grandmother and wife provide. We are tested. We moan and then we give testimony. But all is worth it at the end of the day because this is a beautiful life you live to provide. I know you wouldn’t trade it for all the riches in the world because what you have is worth more than all the gold. What you have is precious and I thank you for sharing your riches with us. Much love and admiration.

The novelist Louise Penny wrote in one of her books about a character helping a duck hatch because she thought it was in trouble and that ended up crippling the duck because it needed to do the work of hatching to strengthen itself - so I think you're on the right track in that. Getting that room to the dryness of the Australian Desert is another plus. That has to be why Nugget and Goldie keep nesting in the late Fall, it's early Spring Down Under. Their body clocks don't care what's really going on, this is what they're programmed to do. Here's fingers crossed you succeed - you're doing your very best to have yourself a pair of emus. That was so wonderful of you to go over to help Brooke and Jason with that poor little calf, it wasn't for lack of trying that he didn't make it.

Bless you for persevering with your research and bless the person who posted the old video. I had been wondering if the shells could be thinned a bit with sandpaper, but we now know there is more to it than just the shell. Praying works and it is wonderful that you have another chance now with the gift of this new information.. ❤

I had and ran a farm when I was 19.. a long time ago.. It was a working farm .. A large garden.. chickens, ducks, geese, turkeys, pigs, goats & cows... The work was neverending and I loved it. Whether I was shoveling poop or scrubbing water tubs or taking care of hooves fixing wounds or taking care of sick animals .. I still loved it. 🎶A good farmer knows where there's a will there's a way twice a day everyday..🎶 You and Brooke are my heroes & kindred spirits.. 🕊️🩷👩🏼🦳🐈🦮🐈⬛🐈⬛🐈⬛
