God is more good and merciful than we can even understand. We don't deserve this redemption through Jesus Christ, but because of His great love, He sacrificed His Own Son on the cross and made it so. What else can we do but be grateful for this sacrifice? I believed in God, but my faith became stagnant and turned off for a few years. Recently last year, I came back to the Lord and I don't regret it whatsoever. I was a lost sheep, but the shepherd found me and brought me home. Now that I've come back, I'll stay with the shepherd!! Thank You Lord for bringing me home, All glory to the Most High!!!

Rightly divide, 1 John 2. We are the same as those in the wilderness. 1 Corinthians 10, they rejected the Messiah/ angel of the Lord/ King YHWH, in disobedience. Zachariah 14 but He never wanted sacrifice, He wanted us to desire to always be in His will, with a circumcised heart. King David had salvation, Nicodemus was supposed to know what it was to be born again before Messiah’s death and resurrection.

"When God Ran" has a profound way of touching the heartstrings. It's remarkable how music can evoke such powerful emotions and memories, especially from moments like hearing it in church. It's a testament to the timeless power of music to connect us to our past and stir our souls. Wonderful song about Grace! First heard from Benny Hester and realized later it was originally from Phillips Craig Dean. Love both versions!

This has been my first and favorite song since I became a Christian January 1, 1980 (36 years ago). This original version is superior over all remakes that followed after it was recorded by Benny Hester. It describes the relationship between a Christian who stepped away from the faith, repented and return to God. This has happened to many of us at one time during our Christian walk. But as the artist sings, when we repent, he runs to us with open arms. This is our merciful, loving and forgiving God. My personal belief, according to Scripture, "We are sealed by the Holy Spirit," (We cannot be unsealed) and "no one can pluck us out of his hand," (no one and nothing) is that WE CAN NOT LOSE OUR SALVATION once we are saved. However, we can step out of his grace for a while and then step back into it when we repent and turn back to him...that is WHEN GOD RAN.

Okay, who listened to this on Father's Day??? I was blessed to have two fathers, my biological father and my mother's father, who literally lived next door to me growing up. Everyone loved my grandfather as he was known as Uncle Jimmy, or Jim Kilcup. Tom Elya was saved with a group of his high school friends back in the early 70s before he met my mother. He isn't perfect, but I know he did his best to love and care for me.

I heard this song as a kid and it made an impression since my dad and I were close and we were close to God and now.... Years later I'm a father myself and the song has changed, because as any parent will attest, no matter how much you love your parents it's nothing close to a parents love for their child and I listen to this song and think about any of my boys and to imagine that God loves us even more than I love my boys.... It's incredible, to think, God sacrificed his son for me, for you for us? I can't understand that kind of love. I think about that movie The Passion of the Christ and try to imagine if that was my boy being beaten and bloodied and nailed to a piece of wood........ I can't, I couldn't let that happen, especially to think of the POWER God held back that day, he could have just whispered and turned those Romans into dust, swooped down and healed every wound on his son, I know it had to be hard, as Jesus died the ground shook the sky went dark and God may have only been held back by his sons plea that we be forgiven "for they know not what they do". God loves us more than we could ever comprehend. So as I write this early on the Saturday after Good Friday I think of not only what Jesus had to go through but probably also what God had to go through, I am so unworthy of the sacrifice and pray forgiveness that my sins made Jesus' pain that much more.

Wow! So true! When I became a Mom I had the same thoughts. I cried as I realized that He gave His ONLY Son for me....how could the Father have given His child...as I looked at my own baby I couldn’t begin to fathom so great a love. And for the first time I stood alongside the Father and looked at His children through His eyes of love and compassion.

"no matter how much you love your parents it's nothing close to a parents love for their child." Northman, very well said. My daughter was killed in an Accident three years ago. Michael, Remember...He doesn't leave us. The enemy is lying to you. This is what I want to impart to you: YOU can be born again, again. This is not something I've heard, or what somebody has told me. I say this from my own experience. I was born again, the first time, in 1986. I was born again, again, in 2021. Yes, very, very recently. In fact, you're the first person I've told. It was just a few hours ago that God gave me the explanation of what I've been experiencing recently. He explained to me that I have been born again, again. You know what you need to do. Reach out to Him and He will be there. Everything He has said, He will do. He never sleeps and He never slumbers. He is there for you...right at your fingertips. Reach for Him - He will meet you there! Yes, He still (never stopped) loves you!!
