"On the 23 of June, 2011 a secret five hour meeting took place between WikiLeaks publisher Julian Assange, who was under house arrest in rural UK at the time and Google CEO Eric Schmidt.
Also in attendance was Jared Cohen, a former Secretary of State advisor to Hillary Clinton, Scott Malcomson, Director of Speechwriting for Ambassador Susan Rice at the US State Department and current Communications Director of the International Crisis Group, and Lisa Shields, Vice President of the Council on Foreign Relations.
Schmidt and Cohen requested the meeting, they said, to discuss ideas for "The New Digital World", their forthcoming book to be published on April 23, 2013.
We provide here a verbatim transcript of the majority of the meeting; a close reading, particularly of the latter half, is revealing."

Schmidt is one of the highest level DOD and CIA/NSA. Interview here was to gather info on Julian. He was a diplomat son from "Virginia" and then he came to UC Berkely for computer science graduate school. Then he begain working with my friend in west Berkely dealing with the Novell architecture as it made inter-communication more and more possible. Prior to becomeing exec director of google, he went to UTAH the home of the NSA, and FEC records showed he donated the maximum money to both the republican and democratic party senators. Then he became head of google, the largest US DOD company and who would say he is evil versus the heroic Julian Assange. Free Julian now !!!

Assange has a great mind. He can see what is really going on out there. He will be remembered as one of the great thinking minds of our day and age that we persecuted.

Julian has such an extraordinary mind; his ideas are so innovative. I love the concept of scientific journalism - the requirement to show the source data. That's so important. The idea of censorship via complexity is very interesting as well; I like his pyramid idea of how press censorship works from the rare violence at the top to self-censorship and complexity at the bottom. And it makes sense about viewing corporations and states as similar systems. No wonder they're trying to pick his brain. Too bad they don't have an ounce of Julian's integrity.

Yes, not just they do not possess an ounce of his integrity --rather more to the point, that they are present to interview him under dishonest and duplicitous intentions.

Assange is not an American; he is an Australian. If the U.S. gov't tries to subject him to a life punishment or worse, death, there will be a violence on the streets of the U.S.A., and possibly other nations as well. And that would be a tragedy. Assange is deeply respected by a large percentage of American people, as well as peoples' of other nations who love and respect him as well.

"When you lead through values, you don't need to trust people," says Assange. Right this way for freedom, he may as well be saying. Humanity is going nowhere until it starts to take values seriously, and live by them. It'll just end up in some evolutionary hole, suppressing and micromanaging itself into eternity.
