I had this song played at my father’s funeral in January and it turned that service from a funeral a revival. Never underestimate the power a song can have when God uses it for His glory.

I made a post last year about having this song played at my father’s funeral that year. I wanted to share exactly what happened at the service and a month later at a Collingsworth concert. When my father passed in January of ‘22, I went behind my mother’s back and had this song replace another she wanted played at his funeral. When her song didn’t start and the track for this did, she got a little mad at me because she knew what I had done. After the song ended, there were hardly any dry eyes in that church. The pastor stood up, walked to the pulpit podium and with tears running down his cheeks preached for 15 minutes. A funeral service turned into a revival service. 4 people came to the altar that afternoon. Two rededicated their lives to Christ and two gave their lives to Christ. One of those later two was my youngest brother. Our family had been praying for him for years to turn his life around. It’s sad that it took the circumstances that it did for it to happen, but God does work in His own way. Not ours. I had an opportunity to talk to both Kim and Phil after their concert in February of that same year, just 5 weeks or so after my father’s funeral. I told them about what happened. I needed to tell them because I wanted them to know the impact their music has on people outside of their concerts that they aren’t aware of. God is definitely using their music for His glory. He has given them gifts. They are using them to honor and glorify Him and He is rewarding them here on Earth for it. Phil did also tell me that Joseph Habedank’s wife Lindsay is the one who wrote that song. I thanked Phil and Kim for adding that song to their line up of songs and have tried to reach out to Lindsay as well to thank her for writing the song, But I don’t think my communications have gotten thru to her.
