Implying that the human vessel was completely unfamiliar in its appearance, with no seams or visible weaponry, contradicts the statement that it was a "perfect black that seemed to absorb light" (For starters, that's what "perfect black" objects DO). They cannot be seen against the black background of space. Their shapes might be inferred by the stars they occlude, but that's it.

THAT'S WHAT I'M TALKING ABOUT!! This is the best tale that I've read since I stumbled upon this genre! Finally a story that isn't Self Esteem Camp for humans, but that displays the true nature of the human species. I think that this was a GREAT story, and I hope that this is just the beginning of a long series. Kind of like a "Marvel's Universe" with recurring characters, but with Chen in place of Iron Man.

I've about heard enough from the chens! Your AI is getting better or your getting better at programming it. I almost didn't click on it. HFY stories are to full of chest beating and back patting! 5% story 95% percent chest beating and back patting! On top of that the story itself was disturbing. Not sure why,but humans turned into God's and ruling the universe in less than a novella series leaves to much unsaid!

I enjoyed this story, good concept. the flow was just fair because of the repetitive dialog. In the future, please proof-read the story before release, many words are mispronounced and misspelled.

I was excited when I first found this type of story but I have quickly become disillusioned with the "Earthlings are terrifying and superior to everyone but have been hiding for centuries" story line. I think I will be looking for something different now. I don't mind us winning but make it a fight and not just humans steamroll everyone. EDIT: That is NOT to say that this isn't a decent story. It is. I am simply tired of this formula and looking for something different.

Think of the Chen character part of a series about the Chen clan, just like the series real world writers write about. Several well known writers have a complete series about one single character. While there are other stories where the humans went into isolation because of the Galactic Counsel, this story shows humanity not completely destroying species as it did in other stories. This story adds a new twist, the repurposing of the enemy into something different, something better. The other novel idea in this story is the evolution of humans to a state beyond being physical, and being able to access forces and power unknown to the galaxy. To me, this is an interesting story, touching on subjects untouched in other human and the galaxy stories.

These AI stories are garbage. They are too wordy, unimaginative, and boring. I get it. Those who can't become authors use AI to write. These stories need a human touch before being posted, though. The word vomit needs to be combed through and remove half the unnecessary adjectives. Verify all aspects of the story line up. Then make sure the story is cohesive.
