you know they say sweating and endurance is why humans became the number one predator but honestly watching this, our ability to launch weapons long distance really seems to be what made the difference. a spear or a bow is a such an advantage.
@coppulor65005 ай бұрын
the biggest advantage is how we more smarter in da brain. e.g. scaring animals off cliffs and setting traps. no weapon needed when one can plan and anticipate instead of only acting on instinct. the same is true of human vs human. those that can't use their brains effectively and can't stratergerize and react emotionally and on instinct lose.

It's also about adrenaline. When you get hit/bitten but you know you really have to keep fighting, you actually underestimate the pain. And then, if you also feel you have to keep surviving by yourself without addressing to doctors/hospitals or at least relatives for help, you also got some more power. Instead, in the last decades (western, mostly) civilization is educated to be sensitive and that feelings is what matters the most.

The lion evolution that has made them so different to other cats has been almost entirely driven by competition with hyena
@tobiasrietveld38195 ай бұрын
Well... AND their choice of hunting habitat and prey ofcourse. Hunting large ungulates several times their size and in massive herds meant taking a page out of the canine hunting strategies. I'd say it's really only the evolution of the males that is hyena-driven, providing them the bulk to easily fight off hyenas but no longer efficient for hunting and leaving this to the females. And then ofcourse reproduction also becomes a factor, which is when evolution tends to go even further off the rails. Fighting off other males is likely what gave rise to the manes as they don't really need it against hyenas.

Most of us use ‘I’m waiting for God to reveal His calling on my life’ as a means of avoiding action. Did you hear God calling you to sit in front of the television yesterday? Or to go on your last vacation? Or exercise this morning? Probably not, but you still did it. The point isn’t that vacations or exercise are wrong, but that we are quick to rationalize our entertainment and priorities yet are slow to commit to serving God.

@diegoquezada31934 ай бұрын
@@vegaslimoguy2376 Spotted Hyenas are actually very intelligent, the complexity of their social structures rivals that of old world monkeys. They as well are very capable hunters as in a study, over 75% of 272 hunting attempts were made by lone spotted hyenas with lower ranking adult females hunting at a higher hourly rate. With 1/3 of these hunts ending in a success as they were capable of taking down prey as large as wildebeest and topi. Spotted Hyenas despite being social animals are actually generally largely solitary when they are patrolling, and they generally only group up when they are going against lions or are hunting large herbivores.
