My husband recently passed. He loved Lissie s music and especially her passion for sharing stories with songs. He always had a knack for finding musicians that were so good and yet skirted the usual patterns of a commercialized route to fame. Now with him gone it is so comforting to hear her. My old roomie saw me posting this song on my Facebook the other day and was like, you know she’s from Ojai, right? (Where he’s from) I’m like omg!! Did you ever get to see her perform live? And he said yeah, he saw her play several times. I am a huge karaoke person and immediately went to check if they had any of her songs in their library at the karaoke bar I go to, but of course not. :p
