When I Made Things So Big They Actually Failed in Worldbox

I made a map as big as I possibly could because I wanted to see if a small group of zombies could defeat it. To start I dropped in 1000 humans and orcs on opposite sides of the map to let them spread out naturally. Of course this fails to have the desired result so I end up giving them some assistance. Many hours later my map is full of villages and thousands of residents. The zombies started out very promising, then kind of just.. did things. Worldbox gameplay with my commentary as always!

indie games tend to not have sophisticated hyperthreading, so he's probably only getting use out of 2-4 of his CPU cores, hence why the games still shit themselves

The world is dead now no where to go. Except our small village Menork it’s name. Not much is left outside is a barren wasteland of rock and far away some dirt but not much. At least water still exists near. Seventeen of us survived this my family mostly but my second child did not they where in their uncles house as that was the only one they could sprint to. The house did not hold. We have few crops left but enough for us to last our stores are still filled our silo held the sky of death. If you find this note on my corpse go west Menork will be there and they will welcome you with open arms.

Therebis a setting in there that can turn of hunger so the humans will not decrease because of hunger. In the scroll with a world backgound in the menu where you create a new World. You can even stop them from creating their own kingdoms.

Hope someone makes a mod for this game so you can make dens, essentially a small structure to spew out specific animals or species of your choice and at whatever pace you prefer. Maybe you could even change the aggression of whatever comes out. Think of this: Dragon den - has a rate option to kick out dragons at a certain pace, a quantity option to spit out only one at a time or a bunch, and an aggression option so they can just travel from the den until attacked or lay waste to everything they contact. Something I'd do as a mod, if I could make them: zombie leaders would randomly be chosen for a group over 10 or 20. It would reduce lag because groups of zombies would be working together, cause an actual threat to even large towns, and all together make them formidable. Smaller groups would break apart or join other groups by 'instinct'. Same with any animal, passive or hostile, and any sapient species (human, orc, elf, dwarf) not connected to a city. Might just be me, but it seems like a nice idea.

If you use some earthquuakes, you can disband a village w/out killing a ton of people. Then they'll spread across the map. just a way to shake some stuff up(see when i did there)

Zombies are generally weak in this game (even in big groups). For some fucking reason, bears do a better job at being more vicious killers than them. I have been playing this game for a while (fuck the elves) and I must say that bears are one of the best village wipers out of all the mobs (excluding terraforming ones). I had created a pretty good map and filled it with all kinds of life which I spread out everywhere, except for the bears which I put in the mountains region. I later forgot about them and continued watching as to how elves managed to colonize the whole world beating the orcs, humans and dwarfs (which took ages to migrate and colonize other areas and then proceeded to just bunker in that mountain region with no way of getting attacked easily). So, while the elves were committing "British colonization", some villages decided to expand near the group of bears. The village was kind of thriving and had a population of about 150 people. I forgot about them and continued to watch as elves expanded their kingdom to about 1000 people (was pretty easy on my pc for some reason). I then checked on them to see their whole village burned down with every single village trying to colonize that cursed land failing miserably against the bears who would maul every single person in that village. After that, the elves proceeded to fuck shit up and killed all the bears and colonized that part of the land pretty easily. Kind of bullshit if you ask me but anyway. Moral of the story: "Fuck the elves and their piece of shit colonization tactics (dwarves are their only match)."
