Yeah honestly since, based on my limited understanding of the lore, drums of liberation is basically what gives gives him/is gear 5th. So him placing his hand over his heart while it literallly beats the drums of liberation is pretty impactful, all things considered. I wish I could comment on the later section better but the redesign is longer than the original and I haven't compared the missing parts. Honestly I already felt the cartooniness was a bit much in the original sound design.

that sound re-design was really good, although a lil bit loud at 0:54, it might have worked a lil better if the sound of the heart beat was a lil more pronounced while the rest of the ambient sound was kept low profile, since the objective of the original scene was to make the fact that luffy was reactivating his heart to the drums of liberation. Still amazing work my guy. Keep it up!!!!!!!!

I personally think that you shouldn't add that much of sfx in the 0:53 part, because the silence from the original made it pretty epic. Having said that, holy shit Luffy surely killed a mosquito in your version with that clap 💀

Everything up to the moment he claps his hands I think the original handles better. The total silence as Luffy listens for his heart to hit the proper rhythm makes the build-up stronger and more impactful. Sometimes, less is more.

At first I thought the trills were goofy and didn't know where you were going with it, but the build into the clap was fantastic. That said, I think the actual clap should have been louder than the whistling trills for that climax to really hit. Plus, there's basically no sound for when the ground rolls past the villain, which kind of kills the mood.

Your sfx during the buildup to the clap works well because it enhances the visual animation where the original doesn't. It makes the viewer feel the meta bending power of G5 and the coming of a god. I think I see what you were trying to do, it's very good.

When watching the scene for the first time. The original is supreme ( as we are exploring a new thing from luffy, which is coming from inside him, from his desires ). But after all this time knowing how powerful he is ! The re designed version seems more fitting for a me. And the Sound Design is Insane. Thanks for this.... Specially the beats when luffy claps his hands together and last become rubber.
