By the way it’s written ruby is the eldest, and Nancy is said to be a “little girl”, so most likely younger than OP. As far as i can tell, her “brother” is likely older but that is dependent on the idea that the firstborn inherits stuff. If the dynamic was that boys are first choice, then he could be younger. However it is unlikely that boys were valued more then girls because it doesn’t seem OP was mistreated before this story, and the reason the grandpa gave for naming OP the heiress was that none of the rest were any good. So therefore the “brother” is likely older.
