i love this game! but i've always played where you get 1 extra guess per round, as long as you dont knock your self out, so that if they say "2", you know to look for 2 words related to the clue just given and then you get 1 extra guess to try and circle back to a previous clue that you might have gotten wrong on that round.

The way i play is a spy master would say a clue for only 2 words and say 3 so u gotta go back and think, but u cant communicate about it (which i think is the correct way to play lol) also jacob i see u cheating aint nobody said u can give clues for how the word sounds

In the first round, when Jacob uses the hint "b" , there is actually a rule where your hint can't be based on the spelling of the word. You can't use a hint that rhymes with the words or highlights any of the letters. The hint has to be for the MEANING of the word and not the SEMANTICS or else it's too easy.

Yes and also you have 1 free guess each round, IF you have a clue that you have not used. For example if the first round you get a clue for 2 words and you only guess one word. For the second round if you get a clue for 1 word you can pick that word AND 1 more word. 2. When you say “0”, it means that none of you’re words has anything to do with the word you say. AND you get unlimited guesses.

There's a rule in Codenames where if you guess all words the Spymaster gives you (ex. Apple 2 and you guess 2 right) then you get 1 extra free guess either as a hail mary or to go back on previous hints, just FYI. So after Derrick said casket 1 you actually do get another guess.

Hey, atleast for the actual bordgame, im pretty sure you are always allowed to guess one more than the number said, eg at 5:02 from the last round. additionally, we also play it ( i think its in the rules as well) that you can emphasize different letters of the code word. e.g. would be Bbball, to also announce other words starting with b in addition to being in context with said ball. hope this helps

The "B" hint isn't supposed to be allowed with this game. it makes it too easy and also you do have 1 more guess than the number your code master gives you. If they say hint 2, then you have 3 guesses to catch up if you missed something from the last round. This balances the game and allows more comebacks.

Usually, people play with a bonus pick if all the clues were correctly guessed. For example, when the blue team says 3 and they get 3 blue cards, they have another guess.

You can always guess one more than the number the spy master says. This allows people to go back and guess from previous clues ^^ Also, if you want, it's convention you use 0 for the death card, and infinity if you want your team to guess as much as they can. Though, I personally have never found these useful, but you guys might (:
