A dance club (and elsewhere) anthem for all time! I am just discovering this version in November 2024; as always, this song brings tears to my eyes along with so many precious memories. I will never forget starting Side 2 of a mixtape with the Vatican Dub version for the man who is now my husband - it was brand new, and the 12" Loaned to me by my DJ teacher (John Valentine) especially for this tape, because my husband is a DJ/VJ too - and how it left my husband speechless with its incredible heart-stopping intro. Kudos to you for this wonderful remix, and thank you!!

I collect cds especially 80s new wave, retro, synth pop. They are getting harder to find. Whenever I travel, I seek out the 2nd hand record/cd stores to find them. I stumbled across a cool store in Barrie, Ontario (Dead Parrot). There was a compilation cd on the bottom rack with the usual fare. But then I saw the last track "When in Rome : The Promise (ON Mix)". No hesitation, bought for $5 CAD. I have listened to this track side by side with this KZbin version - they are the same. The CD version has excellent sound and perfect tempo. This Cd can be found on Ebay and Discogs relatively cheap. So on your marks...get set...race people lol. The cd is called "Rare & Brilliant Retro 80s vol.2" (use the "&" in your search). Good luck !!
