I enjoyed this video, often I see people running into issues with the tarot because the focus these days is on collecting as many beautiful decks as possible and not on the study necessary to know why and how tarot works in an individuals life. If people haven't figured out what they believe about free will and fate or what is ethical then a deck of cards can only do so much for them. It took a while to figure out what I believed about tarot to find the rightful place it has it my life.

A lot of people think that if they have all of the fancy tools, they will learn the tarot easier, this is not the case. You really have to trust your gut and your own intuition and listen to what the cards are trying to tell you!

And a lot of people simply love to collect tarot cards. Not only is there thing wrong with that, it actually supports the wonderfully artistic people who create new tarot decks. The sheer artistry and talent it takes is awesome!

I’ve always had this thought about when is it too much... but, everything should always be in moderation. Especially, for me watching tons of tarot ‘Pick a Cards’ 🙃

Exactly, as they say everything within reason (but I've never had self control when it comes to buying more tarot decks). I also love myself a good pick a card reading.

I tend to use my own tarot readings to reflect on the past or what has already taken place. Sometimes I turn to other readers for externalizing what is going on but I get into trouble if I start using it to predict the future. It gets too nutty for me. But as a reflective exercise for piecing together my past and present, projecting, and connecting dots allows me to maintain a healthy relationship with tarot. I think you hit home on a lot of great points. I don’t get swept up easily in buying a lot of decks... I am very picky about the decks I buy even if I still have a lot (like 30?). I feel it is a small inexpensive way of keeping and cherishing artwork (I can’t buy real Monet 😆) and still getting a spiritual practice from it.

Using tarot for reflection, and not divination is also great! It's what you bring to the craft and ultimately what you want to get out of it. It is extremely important to maintain a healthy relationship with tarot!

Agree! Tarot should not be a crutch to replace your own common sense and good judgement. And as much as I love my deck collection I have to reslly restrain myself from all that spending. Thanks for this.

I love the Crystal Unicorn deck. So beautiful. Pamela Chen is so creative. I’ve been a tarot reader for years but I stopped for the last 8 years. Now I’m coming back and now I’m also looking at the craft. I am hoping to do learn. Thank you so much for all you teach.

Brilliant video 🤩 Love it. Absolute hilarity...picking delivery dinner during Covid is hard and often slightly life altering 😭🤣. In all seriousness very important topic. I'm reading a lot right now for practice & to get to know my decks (some are more chatty than others). I also went nuts buying decks (don't regret the books) when I began tarot again a year ago after a long long break and now I've cut waaay back and prioritized particular study decks. Not even interested in 'new upcoming' at this point, I already have lots to meet. Thank you for you lovely bravery and talking about mental health 🥰 I too have struggled my whole life & this year has been death reversed and tower, tower, tower, death reversed! Sending 🤗's Canada is finally beginning to see the light ,🎉 us!

another great topic! it’s sooo easy to pick up a deck for every little question, but you’re so right-come back to your inner truth. the cards are a tool, a vehicle for intuition, psychic downloads, etc. it’s a tell tale sign that my anxiety is off the charts when i start pulling cards multiple times per day. also i pray no one has their reader on speed dial 🤦🏻♀️

Exactly, its the intuition on knowing the right and wrong times and maybe where you are becoming dependent on the tarot!

I started to use Tarot cards for Tarot Spells author Janina Renée. I use the Robin Wood deck for the spells. This path has giving me a new way of utilizing the power of tarot. Thanks for your video’s, I really enjoy you. Thank you.

Is the sum of all tarot cards a net of zero? Some cards bode well, but others do not. Some are neutral, but insightful.
@Ethony3 жыл бұрын
Unsure of what you mean by net sum, but when pulling tarot and interpreting numbers use: Major Arcana - the number on the card Courts - zero Minor Arcana - the number on card

Dear Ethony, what do you think about for tarot using it to communicate with the own deceased? Is there something to beware of? Kind regards!

Just be mindful of what energies you are drawing into your space, if you channel and pull some BAD cards then I would cut off the connection ASAP

In truth, I have around 30 tarot decks, but I use only 1-2 classical Rider W. Very rare I take out other decks. I feel that I need to get rid of them.

There are lots of witchy facebook groups that you could try to sell or give away your decks to fellow witches in need :) I know I need a good purge every now and then (I have wayy too many decks)
@tequilaandtarot8 ай бұрын
I am fairly new to tarot, about a a year or so more, I have 35 decks, and I love all of them. I have some that I could purge, but, most of them, I hand picked. I have my favorites that I use daily. I also have those collectors that I do not use daily. I have them to collect them, that does not mean they will not be used later down the road. But for now, I will keep my decks until I feel that I am ready to purge and that intuition will come to me if that comes. Much blessings and enjoy....
