When is the best time to cut back Grasses and perennials in the garden

It is really a treat to see your garden at this time of year. Can really make out the structure and it is a brilliant design. Hope your arm heals quickly. Mother nature has a way, doesn't she, with our bodies and our gardens. I was so worried last fall when I needed a hip replacement but am now out in the garden getting lots of projects done. Last video you mentioned how "real" gardeners are never put off in the winter. How right you are! The neighbors don't know what to think. But come spring when they are racing about, I will be a bit more relaxed ( we all know that the work never ends!). Wishing you well, Richard.

Thanks for your kind words. My garden is my sanctuary . As I write this reply, I'm cutting back, I'm hoping for 90% done by the end of today. Little and often is the way, and nothing stops proper gardeners!

Our frosts appear to have gone, and they are likely to come back , but I had to start to get ahead.

Do hope you are ok , have you got trapped nerves ? I suffer with CS , which traps the nerves in my neck , which then affects all my right side . Thank You for all your Inspiration 😊

It's a frozen shoulder. Has the left was a few years back. A slow return to full health.

is the achnatherum calamagrostis already cut down ?

I'm not quite sure which one you saw , but it was a very small plant at the time of filming so it wouldn't be a big plant.
