The ultra ambient preset from the electric piano instrument 'All Rhodes' and the 'AmbiElectronic' analog synth preset pack for Ableton Live created a dark cinematic mood that allowed for the elusive moment when improvisation and composition merge into one spontaneous gesture; comprovisation. In this live performance, multiple textured electronic sounds are played on multiple keyboards while lofi acoustic drum loops are triggered and modulated with a filter. The chord progression uses a C minor11 extended chord as the main harmony but contextualizes that sound with a bass and melody that move in thirds though the key of C minor. The thirds imply diatonic chord motion while preserving the ambient texture.
