WOW!! I can honestly say "been there, done that" and had to throw away the T shirt!! JULY, 2017 was our day in upstate New York. Helped a friend empty out her basement. There was over two feet of water in there for a while. We rented a large dumpster and nearly filled it to overflowing with water logged stuff. And the stink and mold and super dampness that lingered was awful. Fan in the basement windows for DAYS!! Washer, dryer, water heater all totaled. Next flood took out the furnace. Lost a lot of stuff but survived. But, we mean what you know!!

Lived by Lake Erie in Michigan for years ....we flooded probably 5-6 times...but my husband was alive then...after his death I left and now live in town...I thank God every day for the move...good luck and God bless...

I lost my home in a fire back in 2004 and we literally lost everything. The one thing I miss the most are my pictures. Everything else was replaceable. Thank God no one was hurt. 💚✌

My mom is 79, and last month, lost her house in a fire. She and I were on our 2nd day at the beach when she got the call early in the morning. We packed up and came back. We were able to save a little, but not much. We were able to find her mom's antique cup and saucer and I cleaned it up for her...that was a happy find. She and I had the same attitude about it...it was tough, but no one got hurt, and, 'it's just stuff". She's already arranged for a new home to be built on the property, and deciding that starting over without the tons of accumulated "things" is a good fresh start... (We plan to go back to the beach in October to finish our vacation) :)

Plastic tubs are best and easier to handle whenever you need to move them. I think I have at least 25 in my basement. Be on the look out for "black mold"...with that much water it's not good for anyone to be breathing in. ;) 🙏It is a good feeling to get things all cleaned up and reorganized too. So win win! 💖

I understand losing everything. Because then there was the two sisters that stole from me what I needed to live with. God takes care of us. Karma is not what they do to us but how we respond. That's a good looking roster. Personally I would keep that one. All you have to do is make sure you have enough hens to keep them both happy. They should do ok once they establish a pecking order.

Wow...I like the hat, I like Gilligan too, Smokey was born on the same day as my 1st daughter and she likes big dogs too! Thanks for answering the question why Smokey is not getting the shell with her egg. From the time I was born until the 3rd grade our basement flooded when it rained and we were not allowed to go only to the 2nd step down until Dad said we could go...years later was told that I was to get Mom if something went sideways when downstairs.... I am so sad that you had to go thru the flood stuff. Years ago, more like decades ago my Aunt and Uncle had lived in California and lost everything as the winds changed and all they had were the clothes they had on. The only recognizable thing the fire left was the silver set they had received 50+ years ago when they got married and it looked like lace! God Bless you all!

That is really the only upside to renting is the fixes aren't on you but its also a down side when your landlord doesn't want to fix things. Glad you are all safe and didn't loose to much. But I guess losing everything once makes it easier to keep a level head when things like that happen.

At least you can stay in your home. Like us we had the EF4 Tornado March 26, 2021.. we’re fortunate to be able to stay in our home.. we have tarps for roofing, tarps for siding, we’re GOOD?? we’re dry, I have breathing issues so we now have a/c we’re all good.. we give thanks for our situation..🙏🙏

My first channel I came across was Arms Family HS and then Dutch and through his channel I've come across his bro Vincent, Hidden Heights and through them I've found Walker, You and Morehead as well as Justin Moore. I just love this platform. I gave up cable and watch UTube now. I had a flood in 1993 and 2015. First one list a few things but the 2nd one I lost ALL of my family pics. If only I had cloud then !! Memories mean more in the long run !!

I love your dad’s channel very much.I was in shock for 3 day after my house burned in 1988. I lost 18 year of accumulated belongings, but we survived and some things got replaced, the things we lost were pictures and great grandma’s tatting shuttle made of ivory. Oh Chad... Flooded spaces are horrible. We had one and I lost all of the kid's pi tures, (before the cloud), our wedding album etc. Shortly thereafter you realize in the end the memories are always there.
