I read that during the filming of first "Ace Ventura", the shooting had to be frequently stopped, because cameraman would be unable to hold it steady from laughter because of Carrey's improvs. Like the scene in asylum, where he goes ham while wearing the tutu.

I know this funny , indelible actor is a caricature of Jim, but he created it and it was brilliant. Now he's retired, I admire him even more for just wanting to be himself. You want to know what torture is like? Try working at a ten screen theater and The Grinch is playing, Harry Potter and the sorcerers stone, the fast and the furious. Ten times a day, and 3 schools come in with 300 children all at once, as a former usher/ arcade master. That was torture. Its been twenty years and i still wake up in a cold sweat singing the Grinch Christmas songs and trying to sweep up a buttload of popcorn. Its annoying as fuck!
