His role as Rauf laala in Agnipath gives chills...n wht lovely dadu in kapoor and sons. It’s unfortunate. But Govinda is getting what he deserves. He contested election and defeated a long time veteran politician Ram Naik. What did Govinda gain from this - nothing, but he destroyed Ram Naik‘s political career. He was infamous for coming late on the sets. Rajesh Khanna also did the same (coming late on sets) and his acting career also declined rapidly. Going to politics also destroyed Amitabh Bachchan’s acting career but KBC saved him finally but Amitabh Bachchan is highly disciplined and always on time on the sets so he’s getting the reward for the discipline

@@nagoprak If you are his fan I don't want to hurt your feelings. That said, I would like to differ. Ghayal 2 was a flop. Only YPD 1 made some money. YPD 2 & 3 were disasters Poshter Boyz was acclaimed in Marathi. Hindi version was a wash out. Sunny has been irrelevant for the last two decades, and not "silently active" as you put it. In fact Sunny Leone is now more active than Sunny Deol. No offence meant. Besides, no matter how much you defend you cannot but agree that Sunny never evolved as an actor. Anger is the only emotion he is good at. That worked in the age of single screens. In the multiplex era he failed to adapt and do roles that suit his age. As regards Gadar 2, suffice to say. Arjun's sequel was a disaster, Ghayal 2 flopped, YPD 2 & 3 were disasters. Once Gadar 2 and Apne 2 flop he will have nothing else to remake or have a sequel.

A reason why we love Aamir Khan is that, either he'll be so perfect in his role, that age won't matter or he'll do the role according to his age.. Another example of the actor who understands audiences is Saif.. he always did the roles as per his age.. If you remember, in 90s his roles were more like carefree young adult, in 00s, q growing up from that carefree image, in 10s, from that young adult to a much more sensible adult and late 10s and early 20s like an experienced and wise Mid age adult And till some extent, Hrithik Roshan as well Mera manna hai ke just like Govinda, Akshay is also doing the same thing..

An important thing that was missed was that Govinda was one of the most unprofessional actors of his time. Akshay Kumar is a producer's actor, producers love and keep coming back to him. This is because he is discplined with his time. Does not waste precious time on sets. Govinda on the other hand would make producers waste hours waiting untill the ''STAR'' arrived whenever he wanted to. Sometimes arriving at Sunset when shoot was to begin during sunrise. Thereafter deal with his demands, moods, tantrums etc. His own best mate, David Dhawan eventually had enough and stopped working.

He was my favourite actor and still is, I think if he gets better roles he will do character roles as well because in the 90's fortunately or unfortunately he was typecasted as a comedian actor, so his scope was also limited. But we all know what a brilliant actor he is, be it action, comedy, drama he can do it all. It's more about some director or producer approaching him with a challenging role, it's his time to win some Filmfare awards
