I reverted 6 years ago and I can tell you that islam has given me a calmness that is unexplainable, even in knowing that I have hardships in this life , Allah has instilled a calmness and peace inside me just knowing that I am striving for jannah, a BEAUTIFUL place no mind can ever imagine . My struggles and being able to remain patient and dependent upon Allah is pleasing Allah and repenting always will inshaAllah save me from hell-fire. I could never find any of this peace before I reverted .. I searched and searched and only found it in #ISLAM . SubhanAllah, alhamdulillah for islam and it's easy teachings . I am content in knowing that Allah is just and Allah is fair.

I realized that life becomes harder the older one get. Never did I thought that I would question my faith. The small young boy that learned how to pray and worship by himself and now standing alone yet again by himself I ask God for guidance. I shall never doubt his wisdom and excellence. He is God the creator of everything. who am I to dictate the terms. it is Ok to feel sad and overwhelmed. It is human to feel that way. Yes, we crave for our creator and hopefully we can meet him one day.
@TheKingofdans5 жыл бұрын
Mashallah, I understand what you mean. I've never questioned wisdom, but I had a point where I questioned my religion. Not that I doubted islam, I just did not want to be Muslim because my parents are muslims, so I asked myself "why am I a muslim?". Why do I follow islam when there are other religions that also claim to be true. This started at 16 with my quest to understand the major religions. I'm 27 now, and let me tell you something. By Allah, I have absolutely no doubt in my mind, body and soul that Islam is the complete and perfect truth! I have never been so sure of anything in my entire life and I have tawakul in Allah. So it's a good thing to ask yourself "why am I a Muslim". But you must do it with pure intentions of finding the truth. May Allah grant us goodness in this life and the here after, and forgive our sins and grant us the highest place in paradise. Ameen!

well, Islam teaches egalitarianism, but I believe it's also pretty unfair to equate everyone just because of egalitarianism or being born equal. Although people are born equal, they are not equal in trials and struggles; and some people work a lot harder and passionately than others and should get paid and privileges as they worked hard even if they did better than others and more deserving than others. However, in the process of taking over and doing better than others, they also take up more land and wealth than others, thus causing scarcity and deprivation for the others doing less better than them. I give you an example of women not being allowed to work in the past in the US and surely the same thing happened and is still happening in other countries of the world, but only being factual and stating the fact that men had more jobs available to fill in and benefit from the discrimination and deprivation of women from the workforce. So I believe that pure but also fair egalitarianism is impossible and impractical. SO what do you think of a world like this even if it's your merciful God with infinite noble names that created it? if all of your Allah created the world and made every human being equal to one another, then why did he allow some people to take away all the wealth and resources of the world and forced other humans to be working under the ones having money and power or forced them to be their economic slaves, or gave them nothing. your concept that God holds every human being is equal to one another is a deceit contradits the reality, factuality, and practicality. read your own God's verse, "Is it they who would portion out the mercy of your Lord It is We Who portion out between them their livelihood in this world, and We raised some of them above others in ranks, so that some may employ others in their work. But the mercy of your Lord is better than what they amass." (quran 43:32) Is this your God who raised Jeff Bezos of Amazon, or Bill Gates, or Apple company who makes their workers to work for minimum hourly wages for hours, or in the industries of other countries where people work and work and make profit for their owners or bosses whom your God raised, and the moment anyone become incapable to work, they just fire him or her because it would be a waste of money to keep him in job? Is this equality? is this really treating everyone equal?

Allah make things easy for you. If we lose Islam we lose everything. It's all we have and the only safety net. Stay strong Allah bless
@christa41722 жыл бұрын
@@kdpathak5202 the point isn’t in being “equal” in this world, because this world can NEVER be equal. The prophet’s stories prove it. Take, fro example, The prophet Yusuf. He was take away by his father, whom he loved the most in this world, treated unfairly by his brother, became a slave at a young age, abused, imprisoned, then finally, because HE suffered, the whole kingdom of Egypt survived the 7 years of famine. So in one hand, a boy suffered so much, yet the whole kingdom didn’t. But what about all those years he spent without his beloved father? And the Egyptians, who didn’t do much, got to be saved too. Second case: His father Asked Allah again and again, cried so much, he got blind. Yet Allah didn’t answer him until his son got as old as to have kids. In the other hand, The prophet Musa’s mother asked Allah for his son, and got him a few hours later. As you can see, Allah showed us there can’t be equality. One sufferes, the others don’t. On e gets answered right away, the other 40 years later. You’re right, there can’t be equality. At least, Not in this world. In the hereafter tho, everyone will have what they worked for. The hard work will be counted over achievements. I’m going to emphasise this again: in this world, one’s achievements get counted. in the hereafter THE hard work gets counted. There was never meant to be “equality” in this world

Thank you. This needed to be heard in my home as some of us are struggling and going through tough times. In this Khutbah you mentioned many times how people ask Allah “why is this happening to me?”; it’s true, many do ask that. I can honestly say that I for one, have never once said that. I have always looked at these struggles as a test of my faith. I grew up in a house where my mom is Catholic, my dad was Methodist, and his mom was Nazarene. I have never truly believed in everything they teach or preach. I am so glad that I found Islam in 2002 and have chosen to revert.

Absolutely brilliant MashaAllah. This khutba will directly impact the message I preach about high performance and 'success' to my followers, students and clients. NAK makes a profound point that modern day Christian preachers tend to sell 'success' as problems in this life being cured. Rather the Qur'an defines success much more clearly. And in the modern world it is the heroic Gazans and innocent Palestinians who are the greatest visible examples of those who have attained such success.

I see a lot of comments of people saying how they've never questioned Allah or that they feel completely calm and peace with Islam, etc etc. That's all good but please keep your display of progress humble. Perhaps you have never been tested in a way yet that makes you question your faith. While you should be happy, don't let arrogance, or even use a tone which suggests something of "accomplishment", lest Allah should test you in a way which really does bring you down to your weakest moments. Be a source of joy and hope to people, and not self-righteousness. It is even something Ustadh Nouman has said in the khutba; none of us are done with the test of life yet until we meet with our Lord. Not only these self righteous comments are harmful to you, they're detrimental to those who ARE actually struggling with their faith. It is even more terrible when such comments end up on the top and being "most liked".

Oh believe me we all have ups and downs. As a revert , I posted how islam made me feel as a whole throughout ups and downs. No one's life is perfect! But I post to help other reverts and maybe someone thinking about converting to #ISLAM. I don't post to show off nor be arrogant because my life isn't perfect by far, but converting to Islam has made it that much better and because I truly rely upon Allah and have tawakul. I pray that whatever I post can be of benefit and a glimmer of hope for the next person. It's never about arrogance because I have been tested and tested and I know it isn't over. This whole life is a test and allah loves the patient , that's part of how we make it to jannah . May Allah guide us all and keep us all steadfast on his deen. And may Allah make it easier for us too.

Try Philippines, Zamboanga City! Mufti Menk has been here countless times now. Wouldn't miss out on your lecture if ever! All the love, sheikh. X

I needed to hear this, I am not wanting a divorce, but my wife is wanting it and that is what is happening she feels anxious around me and gets panic attacks around me and she cannot believe me I've changed its really hard when all you want is that person to believe you but understandbly how do they know you have?, You do not realise how much your faith and life is tested when you are tested, Alhamdullilah I have kept my faith up, but believe let me tell you its hard, you think and think, times like this you got to be a man, I've been keeping that faith, I wish everyone else happiness and keep the faith to, constant dhikr helps.

Assalam O Alaikum. I will keep you in my duas, please don't worry. Whenever you feel bad, turn to Allah. Read and understand the Quran, it will heal you and alleviate you from your feelings. Read namaz and pray, Allah never lets go. He is always there. May Allah give you guidance for you to navigate your life. Don't forget that Allah tests whom he loves and that this life is a test.

They don't care at all about Islam.... They take their halal and haram from the White House !!!! What white House permits them to talk they ll preach , what the white House stops them to preach they listen and obey. They are cowards ! Have sabr, everything will come with the will of Allah. Feel your heart with ease. Your story is written by the one and only who gave you life. What has passed you, Allah has planned far better for you. Allah is aware of the pain and hardship you are going through. He is aware of the, heavy feeling that fills your heart. The doubts, the fear and the worry of what's to come. He will give what your heart desires. Because Allah sees nothing but patients. He sees the struggles you face. He understands the struggles you have, that is holding you back from any little hope you have. He understands how you intentionally do things for the sake of him. Let things come when it's meant to be, the grace of Allah. The more you thank Allah, the more He will give. The more you turn to Allah, the more you will receive back. He is with you every step of the way. And He will not leave. You are under his care, you have been always. 🤍
