As a huge Skyline R33 fan and the fact that Nightbird was just awesome in the movie this was a must buy for me. Shes really fun to play around with and display. Also TIL the car wing is removable

Those wings are perfectly accurate to her look in the movie as they compress to that size when not in use.

Will definitely purchase her when I see it on shelves. PS. Now that we have an R33 and a Porsche 911 Carrera RS for Mirage, imagine if they do other classics in the next live action films. I would kill to see a Transformer have a Supra as an alt mode, or a 350Z, or a 2004 Subaru WRX STI.

I'm very glad I found your channel within the last few months. I had toys from every TF movie from 2007-2017, and when I went off to college two years later I had to sell almost all of them cause I needed money. I finally got back into collecting after I got married in 2021. The Battled Damaged ROTF Megatron was my first SS figure. I now have every ROTB figure, almost every upcoming SS pre-order, and I am very quickly building up my new collection of SS that I have been missing out on for years 😂 Love your vids man. You are one of my favorite Transformers reviewers and the old throwback reviews bring SO MUCH nostalgia. Little side note, I was actually messing with my SS Nightbird today and then you uploaded this video 😂

Interestingly, the eyes on the figure aren’t red, they’re yellow like in the movie. The visor acts like a purple filter for the light so her eyes look reddish brown if you aren’t shining a light under her visor

For the concept debate what I’ve been able to collect is the mainline were the early concept designs of the characters but then when the studio series were being made the designs changed so they made the studio series figures BUT then they changed the designs again for the final film which is why the terrorcons look different. I might get this I’m waiting to see if there’s anywhere with a Black Friday deal mainly due to I have battle trap, scourge, and it’s deluxe pricing so there’s that urge to complete the trio

the design is final design, she has only final movie design elements, shes based on the final movie design undoubtedly, especially with her shin details and skirts, none of the concept art has that feathered skirt look and the multilayered car part shoulder detail

Still feel they should've waited on the studio series toys until the movie was out, so they could be much more accurate, since that was the whole point of studio series, just have the mainline stuff for the movie and the studio series later for better accuracy

Studio Series RoTB are all passable for me. Should've like waited untill the designs are finalised and not going for concept arts. And now, more RoTB toys are coming in the SS line and they're all concept arts (SS Wheeljack doesn't have the right gun). And the only choice for a Bayformers character is that annoying sea dweller head, Mohawk. Why wouldn't they prioritise something that's finalised 7 years ago than something that's still recent?

@@pillarsofsnow7940 Hasbro own Transformers and therefore there's no licensing agreements to deal with. If there are, what type of licensing deals/agreements needed? Not like they lost the rights to use their names already, right? No, that's not possible. I thought Refraktor was the only character they couldn't get the name back. Alright, maybe Onslaught too. Since Hasbro lost the rights to the names of most characters from G1. But what about Nitro Zeus and Dreadbot or even Berserker? But they could get the name like Mohawk who's name is literally a hairstyle.

i just really wish they took more time with some of the ROTB Studio Series figures, so we could get finalized designs and more time for the design team to cook up the engineering and all. making the kibble into wings would have been a no brainer had they worked on the finalized design from the start imo

Honestly I don’t mind the figure overall I don’t even mind the kibble but the things that bugs me is they didn’t include 2 swords which they show on the box that she has 2 and they molded her vehicle and robot mode to accompany 2 swords so why not you had the mold made. The other thing I wish was they included wings that could be swapped out for the smaller ones. Also the blades or claw weapons I know they are molded to her arms but really a shame you couldn’t make that an accessory

So, I have this figure, and one thing that really really kinda turns me away from it, at first, it was the backpack, I still don't like it, but I recently realized, The reason I didn't like this figure as much as I thought I would, is because in hand, I feel like the legs are just a little bit too skinny, and not in proportion with the rest of her. I wouldn't mind the backpack a lot more, if the legs were just a _little bit_ thicker. But that's just my opinion.

Really good alt mode, and nicely painted rims. Bot mode looks of course small and kind of fiddly. Still a decent SS figure. Now had Hasbro given her two swords instead of the one.

Though the vehicle mode is a skyline r33 from the year rotb is set, the gt-r was revealed only a year earlier and still a year away from its release. And given she landed in the us first, it all around doesn't make sense.

I think it’s because her chest piece isn’t closed in enough like how it is in the concert art or movie. If you closed on the car chest pieces just a bit more, it would compete the skinny look (notice how her arms and legs and waist match the skinny design, but not the upper part).

When I first seen promotional images for her I was like okay cool and then I seen her car mode and then the GTR Fanboy came out of me I really want one of these so bad I do either a hope to get it be it comes to my store or at least one of the stores I can get to in three at least I hope they're going to be stocked this is just this it's close to home since I'm a big fan of GTRs skylines and all that type I was happy to hear that they finally put a GTR in the transformer franchise that wasn't some sort of comic expectation like an actual live-action GTR car got put in a transformer movies Best of both worlds here but I really do hope I can get one of these also I still need to have a nightbird character so this is yeah this is just perfect

She is good to handle her but her transformation hurts my thumbs an my fingers an i have no regrets on buying her except missing out the pre order of ss 109 Megatron on Hasbro Pulse but i hope they restock him again so i can take some cool pictures of Megatron facing against the Terrorcons in a 3v1 battle that i would have Megatron Grabbing Nightbird's ankle so he can slam her down to the ground out of mid air an have Megatron placing his foot on Battletrap's back an having Megatron firing his fusion cannon at Scourge that is what i am going to do if they restock Megatron again

They should just oblige the movie people by contract to produce a final design in time for a reasonable toy production deadline, and stick with it after that. The movie audience is made by only two types of people: those who care about the toys and want them to be accurate, and those who are just there for the action scenes, who do not care at all about the design of the robot who is going to be blown up after five min of total screentime. Both are perfectly happy if you stick with earlier production designs for the final movie. The only late design change that is kind of warranted is stuff like making rampage red when they realize that he has to fight bumblebee, which is very rare, and would notbe necessary anyway if the action scenes were actually good.

I honestly prefer the mainline one. If both are gonna be inaccurate to the final design I’ll take the more colorful one to look at, this one feels like it would just blend in to my shelf. I like that it also has less backpack than this, doesn’t have the dinky little winglets, and has a more unbroken chest design. I already have the mainline one and I just don’t like this one enough to buy the character twice. Then again, the car looks nicer and I wanna support characters that represent people like me. So 🤷🏻‍♀️

i do fully believe that we shouldn't have gotten ROTB toys for studio series this year i feel like best option would've been to have the mainline toys this year and then wait a whole year for the studio series versions that way i feel we'd get more accurate renditions of the characters in SS (which i think was the point of SS in the first place) still like a good chunk of them (bee, primal, prime, battletrap) and understand that choice of action would be dumb for business but still

Shes definitely not a bad figure at all, i really like her, me being a Nightbird fan notwithstanding. I do feel the mainline figure is better in terms of scale and proportion however, cause Nightbird was not that stumpy or small in the film. Studio Series ironically enough makes a better fiddle figure than mainline though and thats what i use her as.
