New arenas looks fun, but it's more than a bit concerning that they have implemented gambling in every possible way into it. As someone who studied psychology in university and worked with addiction a lot, this seems like something to avoid or at least keep in moderation. I have a feeling that RIOT is going to have to deal with a lot of those gaming addiction lawsuits within the next several years after this. Blatantly trying to get a player base addicted is wild.

I will 100% agree with you if they ever impliment any sort of monetization into it. Gambling as a game mechanic is totally fine imo, the same way that playing Blackjack on your phone isn't inherently problematic. I mean TFT already has insane amounts of RNG/"gambling"

@@iokiandheiz3535 Yeah I used to play TFT quite a lot when it first came out and it rotted my brain lol so it's a bit of a bummer to see them bring every bit of dice roll they can from TFT to arena. Other games have lost lawsuits for much less. I think for adults it's not that big of a deal but for kids and teenagers playing arena it's pretty damaging
