Okay uhm so, im gonna ramble abt mammon bcuz thats all i ever do 👋😐 (!spoilers!) Mammon is really different from what most interpreted him to be. He's a very loyal demon but no one notices it because of his greediness and stubbornness. He looks up to lucifer way back from celestial realm but after the war, he changed his ways to be stray further from him, from his brothers because he deemed himself as useless as being greedy is all he knows. After mc came, he had other goals rather than to just give in to his curse. MC was the only one that relied on him after possibly hundreds of thousands going to millions of year. He saw mc as a treasure that HE can keep. He's greedy, but he held himself back as he doesn't want to scare off mc. In lesson 16(?) The one that was holding mc's 'dead' was non-other than Mammon himself, unlike the brothers, he sees mc as a prized treasure that can't be replaced even before he knew mc was a descendant of Lilith. He cares so much about mc, so much more than he shows, he doesn't want mc to be taken away, but he knows deep inside that mc is not a possession and that he can't always be beside them forever.
