I gotta say as broken as this may seem doing on hit yi with perfect augments is generally better. The odds of you getting killed to a well timed sett w is lower or getting 1 tapped by someone else that got good augments which with 16 people usually happens to atleast 1 other person. If you get good on hit augments and just use q to dodge important skill shots you can win most match ups. This game mode is just not well balanced.

@@Shadow-bk1im fair, but when your getting one shot regardless of what you do and they’re way to tanky to do any damage to them trying to build to an actual perma alpha is better. That sett would need to have near perfect timing to get you in the like .5 seconds that your targetable. An all or nothing kinda situation.

@@bubbledog12 it really isn’t that difficult to do as sett. I have done the permanent alpha thing before with only like 0.25 seconds of downtime between qs in the previous arena and still lose most of the time to champs finding the quarter second downtime and landing a skillshot right when you come out of alpha strike. It surprised me but apparently it is a lot more reactable than you think. A big part of the problem is for this mode riot massively reduced the damage of his alpha strike so it requires a lot of hits to kill people that are even just moderately tanky. His on hit build is unnerfed and if you hit the right augments and mythics will melt pretty much any champ in the game faster then they can kill you especially since you can get darksteel talons, wits end, and golden spat for 200 of both resists with 1 or 2 shards. Then whether or not you win depends on how well you use your w and q to dodge any attacks and is much more reliable to win with then q spam. I have played a lot of yi in arena and can tell you that I generally perform better with the on hit build and think it’s much stronger mainly because riot heavily nerfed yi q damage. If yi q damage was normal then there is the possibility it could be better but right now no.

Bte zwag im fairly certain the reason you didnt get a tank item from the prismatic is that theres a different one for each class, so an assasin or hunter prismatic probably wont give a defense item
