I believe I've finally figured out for myself how they work and how they end up lying. Muslim basically repeats to himself something along the lines of: "Islam is love, Islam is peace, Islam is Divinity, Islam is from God, Islam is Perfect." (Because it is repeated to them from birth). So then you ask them: "What about such and such." And if it sounds negative, they literally think to themselves and repeat "Islam is love, Islam is perfect, etc" and then just COME UP with a reason why "such and such" must be wrong and you must be misinterpreting it or don't know any better. In other words they just MAKE UP an answer, based on the most sensible thing they can come up with. But of course once ISLAM (with capital letters) takes hold, they no longer care about the little "wishy washy" fantasies of a few individuals.

I'm not sure where they get the information that they think this is a righteous cause when many of these same people themselves would not be acceptable by islamic principles. Ex. Holding banners that read LGBT people supporting palestine. I wonder if you could make a video simply stating some facts about the situation as it is, with supporting texts. So people can be directed to the video for a greater understanding.
