Wife could have picked up a pen anywhere-for instance, borrowing one just as you had and forgetting to give it back. This does not rise to the level of suspicious. Do a better job of setting these things up people.

Yeah, I have a ton of pens from random places I've never been and my wife wouldn't have been. People leave them or I inadvertently walk off with them. Banks, insurance companies, vet clinics, stores, some of them hundreds of miles away. So the hotel pen probably wouldn't even register with me.

In general, this is a pretty good story and things unroll in a matter that is more or less emotionally gratifying. But, and I don't know if it's just poor writing, but I don't understand a lot of the expressed mentality that is described. For example, the OP describes their marriage as hanging by a thread. What? She's been screwing some other guy for literal weeks and giving her a pass on it is still somehow on the table? Seriously? And what about Terry and Phil? They actually knew all about what was going on and these supposed "friends" said nothing. Oh, but they say gee we're sorry and because their apology is "sincere", eh no harm done. I'd be calling them deceitful pigs and stay out of my sight if you value your intact skeletal structure staying in one piece. There's a lot I don't get here.

A lot of the conversation is confusing. Terry told S she was there then he asked her if Connie was there. Also your time line is way way off. Loke" her legal papers (divorce) are in her car but she doesn't get served till 5 minutes later. Do better guts. If this is read by A I, it's terrible.

Im thinking these stories are translated from another language. The pronoun genders are almost always wrong and sometimes the exact opposite word is used when the context indicates the opposite was meant. Ive listened to enough of tgese now that im automatically doing translation as i listen. Still get confused sometimes
