The sad part is that if this sort of thing does happen in a tournament, you also have to rely on the officials being willing to be in on the joke. I've heard stories of various tournaments in different games, (not just fighting games), where they'll flat out disqualify any players who don't "take it seriously", even if nothing they were doing was breaking the rules.

Since the blue ones damage was slightly higher and you delayed your combo by what i think is 1 second, you were able to heal while also drawing. Think of it as 2 spiders fighting and 1 ripped the other 1s leg, so it retreated. Then it came back and they both stabbed eachother in the head. They draw because one of them delayed their attack.
