Yes, you arrived at the monument and now you can take a break@4:33. It's a breathtaking view from the monument. OMG, you fell...hope you weren't really hurt. Wowowo, you are a very brave lady who can hike and camp "Solo." Now, I can take an advantage of it to see this beautiful church. Love seeing aged and weathered architecture. Well done and keep coming. 🤗

Yes plan to, maybe on day walks, I will look into bus routes, being dropped off and picked up at end of day will cost a lot in fuel at the moment

Well done Lezley, you did really well. I would have given up falling from the style. Hopefully there us more for us to see of your adventure. I was cycling over to my Dads recently and held onto a crossing post waiting to cross in front of 5 lanes of waiting traffic and my bike rolled foward around the post and my feet did not unclip from the cleats and I ended up on the floor. 🤣 Well your well and truly back into camping mode now. 🥇👍

Thanks, think I can finish it in 2 days, one day if I was fit lol, nice campsite halfway ish, my hips been playing up, so waiting for that to feel right, meanwhile looking at what I can leave at home lol never liked the look of those cleats lol

Well done for getting out there and making a great effort. it seemed everything was against you, the weather, the hills, the lack of signage and the overgrown foliage as well as one particular hazard style, although its not the first time that that has happened and at least you wasn't injured too badly, apart from a nasty bruise. but you got out there and experienced new things. well done...

I honestly thought I'd be walking a bit faster than that lol my hips been playing up since I got home, I need to shave a couple of kg off the weight, that's probably as light as I could go with the gear I have

Now I see why you mentioned slugs on my tarp video Lezley. Never seen so many and I have never had an issue with them thankfully. Your one brave lady, many would have quit after a tumble but you kept on going when it would have been so easy to quit, well done. Please take it a little easier before the sequel 👍 Atb Bill.

I've never had that many slugs before either, one or two maybe, yeah my hip hasn't been great since I got home, by the time I feel better it will probably be raining lol

That fall stuffed my hips up for a while, I did manage to shave 2kg off on the second leg, but when it gets colder the weight will go up

Wow sorry to see you had some bad side to you adventure. Hope you still have good memory of the nicer part. The hit probably was the bigger problem. Hopefully next time will be easier.

Thanks, I actually felt alright afterwards obviously rolling around in tent meant I kept leaning on the bruise. That last day was brutal in the heat so I was cutting the day short which meant I wouldn't finish it the next day, anyway I might go back next week and complete it over 2 days, my hips have been playing up a bit since I got home 🤷‍♀️

Looks like a nice trail. I find I always struggle walking in open sunshine. It's great but it does punish us, thirst problems, sweating and what have you. Overcast days are always more walker friendly, but not as nice. Can't win. Was that Saint Clement's church at 17:11 in Withiel. If so, just looked it up. Dedicated to Clement, 3rd Pope of Rome. I'm surprised it wasn't rededicated and renamed after Henry VIII's Reformation and the beginning of CofE. Perhaps no one noticed at the time. lol

I was a tired by the time I got to Withiel so didn't really look much at the church, I was thinking about where I was going to camp lol the trail is nice enough, bit too much road walking, I hope to be going back & finishing it soon

@@LezleysAdventures Looks like you got just over half way. Multi day/overnight camping walks are just much harder than just doing a day hike and then going back to home comforts. I like watching the multi day hike/camping stuff. I think the challenges along the way can make them more exciting to watch. Would even add the slugs to the challenges list. lol

@@nickgcbond yes I was walking a lot slower than anticipated, on that last day I was planning to walk a lot further but not in that heat lol I had planned to be 3 days & decided to extend it for one day to hopefully finish, but when I decided to stop in that heat I knew I wouldn't finish it the next day, so I'm watching the weather and will go back for 2 days
