In 2013, Paul George ( age 22 ) was not yet a supertstar, only averaged 17-ppg. on 42%. Roy Hibbert was their best player in this playoff series against the Miami Heat. Roy Hibbert in the 2012/13 season:12-ppg. FG-44%. But Lebron James and Miami Heat let Roy Hibbert dominate. 2013 ECF: Roy Hibbert=22-ppg. FG-56%. and 10-RPG. Paul George=19-ppg. FG-47%.

@BBESS bess I mean the stats are only a numbers game. The paint opened wide up since 2014 with the 3point craze, so of course layup making abilities and shooting percentages are gonna shoot up, Especially if you're an all star. But im talkin about his skills. Weaving inside and out through the painted area and pulling up midrange to get his shot off...

This is the only reason i came to watch his indiana highlights, especially after his postgame playoff exit interview. He is still skilled today but obviously had more explosiveness before the injury. But i agree, the only thing he needs is the Hunger. This is why so many respect Westbrook because where he lacked skill he made up for in his mentality/hunger. Its why your KD's etc cant win it alone

2024 and I came here to remind people, if PG never snapped his leg in half in case people forgot about his injury, PG would’ve been a top 5-10 player in the league until this day. There would be no Kawhi in this conversation if PG never got injured. People so stuck over stats and numbers but I’ve watched basketball not off KZbin highlights or Instagram reels or videos. I watch actual basketball from the beginning to the end of the game. And I’d PG is that fucking guy. He plays a little bit just like my favorite players like Kobe and T-Mac. PGs bag is arguably one of the best currently, no one at 6’8 has his handles, the way he moves, he has shot creation like PG or SG. And he plays defense.

This was PG's last season before he suffered that gruesome leg injury in 2014, which I believe has affected his game to date. During this season, he led and carried the Pacers to a conference-leading 56-26 record, only to succumb in the Eastern Conference Finals to the much-talented and star-studded Heat in five games. Just the same, PG was a beast on both ends of the floor. Likewise, it cannot be denied that he was clutch and fun to watch. In fact, he literally toyed with the defense of the likes of Lebron, Kawhi, Jimmy Buckets, and Harden to name a few. I still believe PG could have won at least an MVP award had he not broken his leg. Be that as it may, PG's work ethic and determination to be able to still perform on a high level despite all the injuries is an inspiration to many. But, how quickly do we really forget this?
