When Paul Hester of Crowded House filled in for Rob HIrst of Midnight Oil

Oils and Crowded House are starkly different bands but two of my all-time favourites. It's nice to remember their intertwined paths with Rob recommending Hester to CH and Neil returning the favour by giving him Bones. It's tinged with sadness now that both Paul and Bones have left us but we'll never forget the joy both men brought us.

Paul Hester was one of the funniest guys going around but like a lot of comic geniuses he suffered severe depression. A really sad loss.
