Nice set! The Hyped Pearl is absolutely goated. One of the best bang for your buck balls on the market.

Im no bowling expert but I swear to god when you fall off your strike shot (ie you dont get strikes a few frames in a row) your throw changes completely (and I feel like its unintentional) You drop your right shoulder considerably, shift your hips out to the left more, and your hand gets more on the side of the ball to what seems to me to get the ball to spin/whip more. I say this bc I don't think it benefits you when this happens. Love your content, I only say this on the off chance that it helps you in some way.

When bowling goes bad I always, unintentionally, start to work with my body to make my shots. Like wanting it too bad, and it makes everything worse.
@rhegafd
@rhegafd Жыл бұрын
@@femkepostma5605 I basically lived in a bowling alley from 16-25. Bowled for free every day, it was amazing. I was also the big hook guy. I found when my shot vanished bc of oil or whatever, I would always move further left and try and hook it more when the answer was always move right, get a less reactive ball, and play a far less aggressive shot. It was a total game changer for me. But I could never imagine what its like to be a Pro. Im sure its totally different.

My previous post was super long so didn’t want to add too much more to it but, @Darren Tang. I’ve played basketball competitively all my life and had opportunities to play pro overseas but being a Dad at 19yrs old curbed those dreams. I will say that once I hit my late 20’s all the way till now (48 yrs old and still play local leagues and national tournaments in my age group against former pros and D1 talent) that that’s when my mental game kicked in and made me a good talent to truly understanding what made great players great. You’re on the right track and I truly feel your best times and greatness in right in front of you. Keep grinding and put in the work and success will come.

You never like to see it but I think it's always just a good reminder at least at a lower level to know that even the best aren't always the best and sometimes it's just not your day or game. It's easy to get carried away feeling bad or feel like you should be perfect all the time but when you see it affects everyone it brings perspective in a lot. I appreciate being able to see this side of things just because it's really easy to miss normally and forget exists.

As an individual who’s watched YT channels for over the past decade+ , your channel would be fully rounded out with an intro and outro. I’m sure half the time people just skip past them both but, as an avid watcher of multiple channels in different genres, I appreciate the time and quality of that aspect of various videos. Something like @e_oughts is cool and even @Brad and Kyles channel but, I personally prefer simplicity like @187Customs… Just an observation as an old head (48 years old).. Cheers boys and keep up the great content. It is very much appreciated all the work you put in. Eta- I bowled for 6-7 years out of high school with my dad and that was our thing when he couldn’t keep up with me on the basketball court. Having a family and life in general took me away from the lanes but, I lost him a little over two years ago and decided to take it back up not too long after he passed in his memory. Because of Darren, I’ve been intrigued by the science or bowling whereas before, I bowled off of raw talent. I only average 210 on semi hard house shots but waiting to turn 50 or even sooner to try my luck on sport shots. That doesn’t come around here in N Florida till about the summer time due to fall leagues but the challenge of it all with me being an athlete all my life has got me wanting to understand the entire aspect of bowling as a whole and it’s because of yours, @The house bowling, TV bowling supply, @Brad and Kyle, @Luke Rosdahl (being a traditional lefty, I see true ball motion similar to my game for ball reviews) channel so thank you again. Still really trying to pay attention to pocket hits and the neccessary adjustments as well as front to back motion is what I’ve been working at the most on top of various hand releases. Prather’s, Kyle’s, BJ’s, Hupe’s, Brad’s and Mikey’s is how I want to eventually mimic my game after. I’d be happy even with someone like @Matt Sanders or Mykel Hollison’w cause I’m a lefty and really know it takes time and reps like any sport you play to get it consistent so I look for guidance for all your channels.

Darren. I noticed that you keep a bowling journal to track your results/progress? Can you do a video on that? I am trying to do what I can to get to my goal average of 195+. After about 15 years off I started bowling again 2 summers ago. Finished first year average 157-162; last year 172 and so far this year 185 range. My spare game not nearly where I want it to be.

When you bowl so good for so long, you get confidence in your decision making. You make the right moves at the right time and make the right ball change at the right time. Then, one day, none of it is working. We all been thru that. I pick a low hook ball and pound my target line. Punch out a bunch of 200's and teens and see what happens.
