My granddaughter was afraid of the dark so I gave her a flashlight. I got so tickled at the look on her face. Bless her heart she was walking down my hallway holding the flashlight backwards with the light on her belly, eyes bugged out. I got serious though when she said she was afraid a boogie would get her. I told her Mam didn't have boogies in my house and I would kick their butts anyway. She was fine. Reassurance is always the right thing to do. I couldn't stand the thought of her really being afraid.

I’ve seen sage work when used by a Native American. Worked in a supported living home for developmentally disabled people. We had aggressive activity. Residents and staff getting scratched and things being thrown. A coworker, who is Navajo, burned sage and said a prayer in her native language. The activity all but stopped completely for a time. She eventually went to work somewhere else. Activity came back a few months after she left. Just saying sacred things like sage burning should be done by people who know it. Mainly medicine men/woman and often their kids.

it could be a native curse put on the land. the only reason it stopped was because the negative energy recognized the native and was pacified for a short time. once the native was gone, the curse "reactivated" for lack of a better word. it was not uncommon for natives to curse a land they lost or a burial site to protect it.

Or assigned to a resource that humans destroyed. like a spring or a creek that's now diverted. europeans may have something like that going on and they call them "fae". we have quite a few stories that match descriptions of european fae. Personally my tribe doesn't have any concepts of curses on the land- all land is sacred. The earth is our mother. It's sacrilegious to think about putting a curse on your own mother.

I love it when Ben serenades us! 😂❤ In the 2nd video, it bothers me how his mother approaches the little boys comments about what he's seeing. She's even told him to "stop being weird" at some point.😔 Children often have a very vivid imagination... But that doesn't mean that EVERYTHING they see, hear, think & feel isn't real. This is how we become de-progammed from certain things. We're told this isn't real,.. that can't happen, .. i didn't see/hear it, so you must be lying!... They don't exist... And my personal favorite.. you watch too much TV... When you're constantly dismissing & condemning everything kids say... They stop talking about it. And they suffer in silence. And they convince themselves of what their parents tell them.. none of their experiences are real.. so they finally lose the ability to "see" the other plane(s) of existence. Bottom line.. encourage a child's imagination.. But don't automatically discourage or put down something they tell you that just because your not aware of or understand it. Ask questions and maybe offer something they can do to not be afraid.. instead of shutting them down all together. 🙏❤️✝️🕯️🕊️

agreed great comment kids are not distorted by society yet at that age, neither is their senses they 100% can see things we cannot, or have lost the ability to, as most kids do when they become integrated into the programing of school and the system that it entails as well as parents like that that shut them down through lack of understanding.
