@@user-vm5ud4xw6nEffectively a Biomedical Scientist’s job is to diagnose and monitor (but not to treat, that’s the clinician’s job). So whenever you have a sample taken from you, such as blood, spinal fluid, body fluid etc… it has to be looked at as looking at a tube of whatever they took (including the not very nice samples that come out of your waste systems). That sample gets sent off to a hospital lab. My job is to put that sample through a machine and to diagnose you based in the results, or to provide the clinician the results and they diagnose you based on that. @@user-vm5ud4xw6n ok, third times the charm (hopefully it shows my response this time). When a doctor or nurse removes a sample from yourself (whatever it is, such as blood), that sample needs analysing. My job is to put that sample through a machine and look at the findings such as your sodium, potassium, ALP, ALT etc… (the final two is how you can tell if a patient is lying to you about not drinking as patients like to lie to make themselves look better), so it shows if you have drunk your liver to it’s current state effectively or if it is something else such as hepatocellular carcinoma). A Biomedical Scientist’s role in the hospital labs is to diagnose and monitor a patient’s condition (but not to treat) as that’s the clinicians job. I have a great story, so I lived in Germany for about 3 years and when I was there I was in a scout troop. and in that scout troop we had a myth about a creature called the bunny man. the reason this started was because of a very very creepy experience: so we occasionally camped at a place called hill 549. and at that place was a couple old buildings from world war 2. and in one of them was something really unsettling: there was some chairs put in a circle all facing inward towards the middle, in the middle there was another chair but there was also a photo in that chair. the photo was a black and white photo of a boy, who looked like they were crying, and behind that boy there was a man, dressed up in a bunny costume... anyways I love your videos be amazed you are truly amazing.

For folks in the comments saying they have OCD, it's not a condition where you seek perfection. It's in the name. It's obsessive compulsive behaviour linked to anxieties and ritualistic behaviour that bring comfort. E.g. repeatedly cleaning your hands, checking locks, tapping surfaces etc. And if you don't do them it's so horrible. I wish it was just being a clean freak 😂

So little info about the bin at 7:12. They are commonly known among employees as 'dump bins'. The reason for this is because we are supposed to take an assortment of like priced items and mix them in one spot. We can actually get in trouble for having them neat and organized. While I agree it's much more satisfying and visually pleasing to have it neatly sorted, for the sake of whatever employee that will be forced to ruin such efforts, please refrain from doing this.

@dragonfliesnh420411 ай бұрын
I'm assuming you are in the US. Not all cereals look the same in every country. It's possible that the cereal in that video wasn't actually Froot Loops. The food coloring dyes like yellow 5 and red 40 are banned from the UK, so they may have limited options and aren't able to make all the same colors like they do in the US. They use natural color substitutes but they can't make all the same colors like in the US. The Froot Loops in the UK looked different from their US counterparts. This cereal was only available for a limited time in the UK so they no longer make or sell them.

The reason bargain bins are disorganized isn't from sloth or indifference, it's a marketing ploy. Research has shown that people are far more likely to buy from a disorganized bargain bin than an organized display of the same products since the disorganized bin looks more "bargainy". Also, a person having to hunt through a bin looking for a stuff is more likely to buy because of an unconscious desire to justify the effort of searching. In the same way, too much neatness and order actually hurts sales in bargain stores. Warehouse stores like Costco and Sam's Club actually have a lot of wasted vertical space which contributes HVAC costs, but the warehouse feel is critical to creating the shopping environment. Nothing successful enterprises do is accidental.
