Just wish we would see more creativity with phone design. Steve Jobs left us stuck with his initial design, and it is a fundamentally boring one, despite the capabilities.
@lander774774 жыл бұрын
I think its the fact that the iphone and phones that copy the iphone design simply got it right, and there's not much to improve upon. You might as well wish for there to be more creativity with a hammer, or screw driver, or a brick, or an elevator, or a bicycle. Sometimes the best and most sensible design gets created, and sticks around because its just about perfect.
@blame71214 жыл бұрын
I mean it's just a display that fits in your pocket. There's not much that can be changed about that without making it crap. There is some variation in phones (size ratios, colors, front and back displays, curved screens, pop-up front cameras, flip-phone comeback, etc), but in the end of the day it's a rectangle screen, and if you try to make it a triangle it will just suck.
@scottweaverphotovideo4 жыл бұрын
An example of creative phone design was the Palm Pre in 2009. Fit in your hand perfectly, as did the original iPhone, but Palm had fallen behind in the phone market and not enough interest was generated. Creative designers could come up with very fresh approaches to phone design but the huge library of apps that require compatabiliy with existing phones makes the effort useless.

😂😂😂 WE??? You mean YOU aka the niche minority. The majority of people only carry ONE device with them at any given time. Very few people carry a phone AND a tablet. Most people like convenience more than anything. Why do you think true wireless headphones have been the best selling gift for the past 3+ holiday seasons and why more people care about a phone having wireless charging even though you have to pay more for the "wireless" charger in order to charge SLOWER??? The masses don't want to deal with wired headphones, wired chargers (the IRONY because wireless chargers are still wired hahaha), and carrying 2+ devices at once. That's why foldables are the future and are already practical NOW with the Galaxy Fold. A tablet in your pocket. Beepers are primarily used nowadays by medical employees like Doctors, etc. Technology is about moving forward instead of backwards.

The cool thing about transparent displays in futuristic movies is their transparency when they are TURNED OFF, but function exactly like a TV, no worse image when turned on. Imagine what a TV that essentially becomes a window when turned off could do to home design. You could have a glass between kitchen and dining room, that you can use as a TV or as a blind when you want. Maybe even have the image be displayed in each direction, so you can still watch your program when you are on the kitchen and immediately flip it for the other room once you prepared your meal. Having one that is hard to see because it is always a see-through is just...useless...

Shazam
@krzysztofczarnecki82383 жыл бұрын
@@samuelsanchez6082 When TrackID still worked, it identified songs way faster and more accurately than Shazam. Shazam has noticeably improved a lot since then, but there is no way to compare now. I was just so unhappy I had to stick with Shazam when they shut TrackID down, but it's better than nothing.

As someone watching from a Galaxy S20+, I can say it wouldn't be all that interesting of an episode. Don't get me wrong, it's a solid phone, but apart from the fancy camera options it's really no different in use than 99% of the current lineup of "Flagship" phones out there.

I used to own a Sony Xperia P in 2012 that had a clear touch bar where you tap on for the options/home/back buttons. It made the phone looked really cool and it was functional. I suppose the letter P was a tribute to this phone? Never realised they had done this years prior until I've seen your video!
