Thanks so much for the kind words!! Rach 3 is definitely no joke! I think I worked on it for about a year till I was reasonably happy haha. Though I have played maybe technically harder pieces, it is definitely up there with the hardest stuff I have played. Also, you are way too kind in your words! But it is nice to get comments like these too :) Usually its quite the opposite. People telling me I probably cant play even one Beethoven sonata from start to finish, just because I put their sonata in a lower rank than what they would like it to be or something XD

@PianoTechSupport
@PianoTechSupport Жыл бұрын
@@nehath123 Hard to say. Top 3 hardest pieces I have played.. MAYBE.. Gaspard de la nuit, Rachmaninoff 3rd, Stravinsky Petrouchka? But there were some contemporary pieces that were quite hard, too. Rachmaninoff Sonata 2 too, Prokofiev Sonata 8. I dont know whats the "hardest". Actually to go on stage and play a Mozart sonata to perfection is the hardest thing and I dont think I have ever done it to perfection and I think I am not alone in that aspect :D

@@PianoTechSupport Hello! I would like to ask about the first ossia in the first movement. At the very end of the first ossia actually. Both voice is a quarter note, where there is 16ths in the regular one, in the lower voice. So if I play the one in ossia, should I just play all with the quarter note please? I listen to Sokolov’s playing, he played all the ossias in this concerto. But even he played the 16ths in the regular one. I cannot tell if Kissen played with the 16ths or not. What is your opinion please? Thank you very much!

Sorry for replying very late, there are so many comments on my channel, sometimes its hard. My maximum is 12th. I play very freely but I was lucky to have this ability, generally I would encourage pianists to build their stamina. For example when I started to play Chopin etudes, I had trouble playing them even just one at a time with stamina. I forced myself to repeat and keep continuing and play the same etude several times non-stop. Eventually you learn how to play freely and how to let go to "survive" the long battle. To be honest, after I play rachmaninoff concerto I could play it again from the beginning all over again.
