He's lovely, genuinely funny and warm-hearting. He's an Italian Catholic, I can only guess how important and big an honour it is for him that the Pope wanted to talk to him; to invite him to watch his film must have been absolutely mind-blowing. Hence his excitement here. Southern Europeans, we are a lot more expressive of their feelings. That's the norm in our cultures. Which is the opposite of the British culture in that respect. His excitement is nothing to laugh at.

Apart from having accomplished the rare feat of remaining a child, I think Benigni is an excellent litmus test: If you find him annoying or over-the-top, you've probably been hanging around dead people for far too long. Also, if you haven't seen it yet, try to track down Il Piccolo Diavolo, featuring Benigni and an italian speaking Walter Matthau...not to mention that it also puts his invitation to meet the Pope in a very comical light.

A lot of Interviewers I have seen, act differently around a Foreign person. They usually speak a lot slower and refrain from jokes and fast humour. But Graham is so wonderful, he is just his usual self around everybody, this is something that not a lot of people are capable of.

According to me the two guys have no idea of the sheer juice and joy Roberto is producing, getting and sharing out of the most insignificant things like the world popcorn. Just a simply guy who is ordinary.

Oh, Roberto! I love the guy. He looks like someone who would be such a riot to hang out with. I also like what he said once about wishing he was a dog with the tail so he can wag it when he's really happy, because I thought that myself once too.
