You have to talk about the parthian Envoys response to Crassus at Carrhae: Asked by the Parthian ambassador the reason for this unprovoked war, Crassus boasted that he would tell him in Seleucia, the western capital of the empire, to which the envoy "burst out laughing and said, pointing to the palm of his upturned hand: 'O Crassus, hair will grow there before thou shalt see Seleucia'" The envoys line is still an idiom/phrase used in modern persian to this day!!!

think of chalk as a powdered paint. like water color. you can smear it on a slate cuz it's rough, but you can also get it wet and wipe it away, but if you write on a wet surface, it pretty much turns into paint, you have to let the slate dry before you write on it unless you want it to stay forever, but you can always wash and scrub it off.
