Do you have her evolved though. You can own the character, but then forever summons give you the already evolved versions. So it's like technically another character.

The game take into account the form you own not the unit itself overall. Easiest way to understand is to check the compendium as it list the units and the form you've unlocked so far. You can still get a Roy animation later for a non awoken unit after getting its awoken from Forever summons it works both way.
