Honestly what's always disturbed me about this section was her sudden reaction to the hand. Honestly with how out of left field the Shang tsung energy drain was i can't blame her

I think she notices it at the start of the game, she's staring at her hand in the first cutscene.

I believe that was to show that she noticed her suit had changed and that's a sign her abilities are lost

It was really clever foreshadowing of what was to come. Every EMMI and Central Control Unit was absorbed by Samus by using her left arm.

@@Dzzy123 yes me too , but she is kinda okay by their eyes (?) tho honestly seems that is not really the galactic federation is bad , but a group inside that had all the experiments in bio weapons , but samus shout down the whole program in fusion , so if this group still intact after dread , then maybe they will have a excuse to hunt samus now that she is an" Metroid " , question is who would be crazy enough to even try this ? 😭 Maybe other bounty hunters ? .

Hypothetical: After the events of Dread, Samus turns herself in to the Galactic Federation, who reluctantly lock her up. She is their savior, but she believes she needs to be kept in a cell to keep the universe safe. We open on a shot of Samus in her cell and the caption "The last Metroid is held in captivity."

@@ghsvideosreviews5499 Yes, I've seen online that apparently the English versions of Fusion and Other M did not make it clear that there are splinter groups within the Federation, which is why Samus is still working for them after Fusion despite destroying their experiments. All of that stuff needs to be properly explained in future titles. I still think it makes the most amount of sense for Samus to become an intergalactic fugitive hunted by the Feds and whatever might remain of the Mawkin Chozos in the next Metroid saga. Her being a fugitive would fit with her being a bounty hunter, taking on whatever tasks needed to survive and elude capture. There's lots of potential for Nintendo to build from, but they need competent writers to do so. We do not want another Other M debacle.

@@SwerveStarEx i can see that happening, didn't Sakamoto, said something about a possibility of an future game happening in the same universe of Metroid, but with a different protagonist ? . She definitely would want to keep the universe safe , specially after so many battles against the Metroids .
