When Scotland came to England for the football.

A mash up of fans over the past two days. Kings Cross, Irving Street and Wembley Way. Scotland travelled in numbers much to the dismay of Sadiq Kahn. You can’t deny they brought an atmosphere to London, as they do wherever they go. England fans tried to get one going.
As for the match, a damp squib from England who on paper we’re expected to win. Though Scotland had other ideas and could have won it themselves. In the end it finished 0-0 on the pitch.

I, and my wee bro, went down with many other fellow Scots. We were somewhat apprehensive, as it was our first time in London and we weren’t sure of the reception we’d get. On the first night - night before the game - we were met with a large group of rowdy English lads who noticed our accents. We ended that night, sitting with their entire table, singing ‘Flower of Scotland’ at closing time. For the game itself we were situated in a wee pub with both the English fans and our own. There was the initial tribal banter, as is expected with the oldest matchup in football! Then both sets of fans ended up dancing the night away after the whistle blew for full-time. We were treated superbly. There was not one bit of hostility between us. One of my most cherished footballing memories. Thank you, England. 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿👍🏼🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿
