However that is an over simplification of autistic tendencies and pigeon holes it. Instead just pointing out that he is in fact so smart that even though he clearly is void of understanding for her feelings, care for her well being, or basic understanding that her being off on her own in this manner is dangerous he only realizes it by picking up every clue related to the breaking down of evidence which he loves. This means he is in fact to smart for his own good because he chooses not to be involved in her life or well being but by being smart he forces himself to get involved and care I.E. to smart for his own good.

I feel like Sherlock, whenever he’s on a case, kinda just spits out facts and details without really analyzing them and what they mean until after he’s stated them, like how he did when noticed her nails. So when he said she’d likely had been choked or had a knife held to her neck, he didn’t realize what that meant till a moment later and that when we see h8m switch. Props to the actors and writers for making this such a good movie and a perfect sequel

But he switched right back from being a good brother and responsible guardian with "my offer(to help) remains on the table" to saying "don't be so desperate to prove yourself". He insults her and puts her on the defensive in a fully blaming way instead of just being her brother and letting her tell him more about what's gone one. Which highlights how he's both Sherlock the smartest man... And a Man who will hold legal power over this girl until she marries and if she divorces or is widowed, and presumes he knows best instead of letting her inform her future. Which really is extra strong writing. Flips him from someone who could be an excellent big brother/the only one she can count on... To an arrogant Ahat in two seconds. It keeps the rift between them without being *Just* Enola's pride. It's Sherlock dismissing Enola the same way Mycroft would.

This is a good scene, it shows the brother understands that the sister has capabilities and can indeed do her work and may not need his help, but it also shows that he cares for her enough to realize when he'll need to intervene for her sake even if she doesn't like it🌹✨️ Plus one of the few times I guess where we see Sherlock's emotions towards his little sister.
