WHEN SHOULD I JOIN SOCIETY IN UNIVERSITY?

My stance. 1st year is to boost the CGPA Join clubs or societies at the end of 2nd semester or 1st year, so you can become an active part of them from 3rd semester. You don't only enjoy event organizing and get some exposure (you get to interact and network with seniors and industry professionals as well). societies helps you to get close to like minded people which helps you keep motivated and there is sense of positive competition and there is very less discrimination is societies relative to your friend circle or batch. Its your job to manage time for society and studies. I have some fellows who are really important members of a society and they even manage to get dean's and rector awards. Its not just unpaid labor, its volunteer work that you do for betterment of yourself and others around you. You build your personality, you get to know how to talk to someone and a lot of other soft skills are gained (politics especially 😉)
