I'm 3-5 years away from retiring. About to try New Retirement to test my numbers but am considering claiming SS at 65. Which would leave me leaning on my savings a little more for 3-5 years. I just subscribed to your channel and am enjoying the content. Thanks.

Long life insurance. Planning to claim at 70 for the greatest benefit for the longest surviving spouse. However, I'll be monitoring and if I decide I need the SS income earlier then I can claim at any time. Another way of stating that: My benefit keeps growing until I claim, and until I claim I have choices which are gone once I claim.
