When Should You Hone To 1620? | Lost Ark

just me yapping about the newest question that is on the forefront of most peoples minds right now - should you hone to 1620 now or not, and why
basically, if you don't have a main character at or above 1620 and you want to actively play the game and do the raids, i'd suggest honing that character up to whatever threshhold you want to be at for the raids you want to do. this is generally the advice i will give whenever people say what should they do with their main as ultimately it comes down to you.
as far as alts go, again, hone them up to the level of raids you want to do with them - if they're truly just alts then i would 100% hold off on spending any resources on honing them until our t4 date is closer/here as there is nothing to lose by holding materials if we do happen to get a stealth nerf to honing

when u showed the calculator u said +17 is 1600 but +17 is actually 1610, +15 on akkan gear is 1600, so its actually even more expensive then displayed which is ridiculous honestly, if we dont get a nerf for 1600-1620 i dont see many people having more then 1 or 2 characters in t4

Not only that but there's also the optimization coming with it such as elixirs AND transcendances. I'm pushing my whole roster to 1620, 3 other chars to go and it's painful tbh

As a returning player who left in dec 2022 at 1500-1510, I find it almost impossible to reach 1620 given how much gold I can get weekly. RIP.

Yah y Our roster being lower now kinda fucks it up, i would honestly wait for a week before the pass and event comes and it will help you get there i got from 1500 for two alts to 1580 and main to 1600 those alts were 1490

well if they allow you todothat you would be skipping many raids and content they do events that give you a relatively easy 1580 just jump on that

Honestly you should not be getting to 1620 easily. The raids and DPS demands higher level of class knowledge. Just take your time and enjoy the journey.

@@Duubly It's not possible to enjoy the journey when early raids are all only busses and even some level of gatekeeping. With solo raids coming however, it may be more doable, but it'll depend on how much the gold is nerfed.

@@BuffPomsky exactly it work in korea due to high population but in our version with ~20k ccu across 3 regions/AH with only a lil part of returners/new players it is an horrible experience Hope solo raids will help u a bit guys, sincerely

The gold costs even with books to hone 1610 to 1620 is so absurd. And now t3 gem price collapse reduces income, this game is just insanity now with transced and elixirs on top. 2k gold to just roll your weapon once... no more books, we need proper gold cost reduction. Every new tier or level I make less gold or similar but costs drastically go up, it's just so absurd. You can easily click a few months of gold and still not get where you want to. I didn't need to bus, didn't need to clear all gold raids on 6 chars, I could maybe do half that and rely on unbound mats sold and gems. Now that doesn't even scratch the surface of what it costs my main let alone ever getting anything else to t4. THAT'S not even touching the gold cost of trans/elix even with its nerf. Then if I basically drain a years worth of gold saved, I'll still have to BUS the latest content, ROFL.

I have different question. Should i buy now legendary engravings or just wait? im sitting at 250k gold and no clue if its worth to make 1580 alts after honing nerfs even in relics will no longer have engravings on it. I have 1600 pala and 1540 SE geared

I would wait till Korea got the season and then make ur decision Based on them
