I remember when I obsessed about cars. Lol. Now I don't really give a damn. Challenges and adventure and the possibility of failure is much more compelling. For instance (example): say a dude refurbishes a sailboat by learning all the systems, then how to sail, then spends two years sailing around the world. That would be someone interesting. Having a cool car isn't that interesting. It's cool...no doubt, but is it interesting? Anyway, just my 48 year old brain spewing words. But let me end with this, do what makes you happy but don't be broke at 60. It's fine line of doing cool things in your life and being a boring old fart who just saved money and did nothing. I'm chasing that balance. Good luck on what you decide.

I appreciate the wise words my friend! You're right that adventure does sound way more compelling than just having a car....but how about building out a supercar in a badass way, then road tripping for 2 years (or a liftime) creating fun videos along the way?! lol. Just gotta find my balance to making that a comfortable life for myself. Thanks for the thought provoking comment. It helps

Oh man so many aspects. My goal is to buy an RX3 with real estate. I see two options, equity and HELOC, or divert cashflow for financing or cash purchase. I'm still using cashflow for growth. For equity, I plan to leverage 100k in cash (enought to buy an RX3) and buy a $1MM property with 10% down. Operate the property as a STR. About a 5 year wait will have enough equity to get HELOC to buy the RX3. The income from the property pays off the HELOC. And that's how a house buys a car. In 20 years the $1MM property will be paid off and worth more like $2MM. The power of that position can buy just about anything. Sell it, heloc it, or use it as collateral to a loan all option with a first position loan. Patience and the time value of money is the formula.

29 yrs old. You've never seen a bear market. Making money has been laughably easy for the last 10yrs. Buckle up for lean times. Stay conservative.
