The more them commies cry. The happier I am. The more Ant ifa pass over, the happier I am as a guy. And the fact that you said not if but when. Makes me think maybe I should not return to the states. I had thought about it. But as we are seeing several real time SOF, UC warfare attacks happening in the US. I want to know whom is behind this. Including the fact that the Cartels and Chinese special police are now operating openly in our cities. Makes me question if there is any wisdom in going back. Top, do you have an opinion on this?

I started watching you and I was skeptical. You won me over by being yourself and giving good, fact-based examples and reasons. I appreciate that. Also for you not claiming that one path in life was the right one, but more about we all arrived here from different paths. I've been prepping for over 7 years, and I tell people you cannot see tornados in the midwest, trains crashing, floods out west, snow out east, supply chain issues everywhere and say, Yeah, what worked in the past will keep working in the future.

I agree with you 100%. I am a survivor, I've beat stage 4 cancer twice . I train my mind as much as I train my body for whatever situation may come along because I know it's coming and it's going to be bad . But I know I will be ready. I still have much to learn and not being over confident is what will help me to be prepared for whatever. Your advise is great but what you said was sadly true. Dwayne

Need to find me a good apocalypse companion like Riggs. Probably not that hard since almost Dailey I see reports about people's dogs running loose around the different neighborhoods. Yesterday there was a gorgeous husky out roaming around (luckily she was reunited with her people) my last dog was a German Shepherd mix puppy that I found abandoned where I was fishing, best dog I ever had.

Animals know when you are hunting them. Even fish... Practice, practice practice... I have built 3 live rabbit traps and tested, it takes about three days with the the Three traps catch a rabbit. The fishing here in northwest Oregon, but never a guarantee. I have made rabbit snares all the w as y up to aircraft cable deer snares as they are passive and work while you rest and fish traps.... I think the pellet rifle with dual caliber along with a pellet mold at 177 and .22 cal was a good choice for small game as to not telegraph my location and save the boom sticks for larger game 4 or 2 forkers...but you are absolutely right.... How many people right now can go out tomorrow morning and hunt and gather enough food to feed a family of four for one day..... Not easy...

I know I am a liability right now. But Chrisky has me tryn to quit smoking. I weigh too little, not too much and am trying to gain. I am still getting comfortable with AR ironsites and only have one day worth of food and two days worth of water in surplus. Once this gets to two weeks I will start stocking friends houses, at least two potential bug-outs, as >2 weeks of SHTF will certainly have us abandoning the apartment as some point, wheather in the 4×4 or on motorcycles to avoid gridlock. Then comms of many types, bug-in and bug-out drills. I think its more important to know where you are than to be overconfident. You may be right about lone wolf stuff, but know that makes you varmint, the enemy, as you must take what you need to survive. *it is much better to plan and drill and stick up ahead of time, screw car insurance; I want war insurance!

Actually nuclear fallout dissipates pretty quickly. Within two weeks and possibly sooner you can go outside. You can actually see the fallout as it looks like snow and all you have to do is not allow it to get on your skin or breath it in. So, if you have a good tyvek suit and a gas mask you could go out even sooner. If you can survive the first few weeks then you have survived the initial assault. Then comes finding food and avoiding lunatics.

There comes a time when you can no longer bug out, prepare to engage in fire fights, and live in the woods. It is called old age, 73 to be exact. I can speak a little bit about SHTF as it pertains to the mountains, or people thinking they're going to bug out and live off the land... it aint happening, or at least not for very long. Early 2020, before anything was really known, was REALLY eye opening. First, your not necessarily going to have access, at least not legally, to public lands (NFS, BLM, State trust lands). Individual counties in my state locked down. If you weren't a resident of whatever county, as far as local authorities were concerned, you had no business being there, not even on public land, and they did run people out of the mountains who were from nearby counties. It showed how fragmented we really are. We're not even unified within a state, let alone as a country. Second, Tent and Trailer cities will pop up, most of them will be along backcountry roads, and most particularly around water sources. Most people will be funneled into certain areas because they need water, and it only takes one dumbass upstream to foul the water. I suspect diseases will be rampant in these areas. Third, you will not sustain yourself via hunting and fishing for very long. Most people don't know it, but the vast majority of fishing areas are stocked by the local DWR. Once they're fished out, they're fished out. The deer and elk herds in a SHTF scenario, will be wiped out in short order, or will move out of the area entirely. Deer will disappear entirely, Elk will either be hunted out, or will migrate out. Grouse and rabbit won't last long. Any piece of land has a carrying capacity to support life, and a bunch of tent or trailer cities FAR exceeds that capacity. I could go on, but the bottom line is your going to end up as a starving armed refugee, or defending yourself from the same. Best bet is an organized and cordoned suburban community full of backyard farmers.
@mehGyver
@mehGyver Жыл бұрын
You beat me to it. Bugging out merely delays the crisis unless you have a hidden fortress packed to the rafters with supplies. People will be roaming EVERYWHERE, and everyone will be on edge fearing the next interaction will be with a bandit. I can't tell you how many people I've heard say they'd head to the hills. So basically every set of mountains within a few hours of a major city will be swarming with refugees. And if you bug in, better lay super low and never draw attention to yourself. The first time a desperate person knows you have supplies they may just burn your home down out of spite. Best bet is to form up with a dozen like-minded survivors and build a small community.
@STOKERMATIC
@STOKERMATIC Жыл бұрын
Indeed. I hope folks weren’t thinking I was advocating for bugging out as a primary course of action - though I suppose I could get that in how I worked the project. Great thoughts all around!
@rw7594
@rw7594 Жыл бұрын
Good supplies indoors and a way to collect and treat water is a must. Security is also a must and venturing outside to collect water, or anything else, is the most dangerous task in a full collapse. Bugging out is an absolute last resort. Once you leave your home, you've lost it for good. One tank of fuel to go far out of the city and live off the land wouldn't be even near plan A. That's tough in the US lower 48 where it's too populated. I may pull that off in Alberta but it is the winter that will remove those who can't hack it. Get out to public land and practice basic skills. Public land doesn't have the strict rules the parks do. Random camp, have the boom sticks or whatever is a go.

@abstractapproach634
@abstractapproach634 Жыл бұрын
Why would the woods be radioactive, almost certainly tactical nukes if any would be used. Also any food and water stores you have are probably safe if done right. Interesting point though, would be good to invest in hydroponics maybe. Definitely recycling as much water as possible is huge. No usable waste should be discarded if possible. But it'd be a real shame for you to screw up and end it all right before a decent M.A.G. found you.

Words to live by. I've trained people and I've been trained. Some say by the best. The U.S. Army. I still know that my learning never ends. I am constantly retooling my knowledge base and keeping what works and discarding what doesn't. You MUST get out in the field and put to practical use the kit that you have assembled and find out what works and what doesn't. You can be the best equipped, most knowledgeable prepper out there but if your kit sits in the closet and never gets exercised then you are in for a rude awakening and you will fail. Like stoked said, it's not if but when. We all can feel it. Something heavy is coming. Find the skills and hone those skills until they become comfortable to you in all environments and most importantly in all weather conditions. Dont just go out to the woods when its sunny and warm. I will close with this. You dont need a lot of money or fancy gear to ensure you are ready and able to survive. Be sensible in your purchases and find a community of like minded folks to help coordinate assets and to train with. Get stoked, stay alive and be prepared! Strength and Honor my friends.

Was lucky to grow up when I did, hunters, veterans and ex Services would talk to you when I was a kid if you showed interest and it wasn't considered odd or "problematic" because most had some integrity then. I spent some time with an ex SAS guy (rabbit hunting with an air rifle) and he said a very similar thing, how you become outstanding is not to be a natural but by being the last on the rifle range, put more into your run, practice and then do it some more. Another great video Stoker. If people are not prepared at this point, then it could already be too late. You don't get on top of your game in a matter of hours or just by going to a store.... if you can even get to one. People should have been taking the necessary steps long ago. Physical conditioning, offensive/defensive ability, food and water preps, medical training and preps, communications, land navigation, building community with like minded military and like minded individuals etc.... What we see happening across the US right now... surveillance balloons, train derailments, grid attacks and general subterfuge by the current White House. Open borders and known PRC / Russian/ Iranian spy networks in place under the public's nose. There is orchestration in this as to all of the SHTF currently seen. Probing, data gathering... it's all happening now. I hope people start now in their preparation as every minute that they don't further hurts all of our chances at winning should deterrence not work.

Calm down, it's been worse. It's good your not letting comfortability breed complacency, but don't let it breed panick either. The weak lay down thier arms in times of peace. The savvy use this time to train and stock up. The anxious panic, fail to plan appropriately (maybe forgetting fitness and ammo but getting $2000 glass) Be savvy my friend, I agree there should be no Frappuccinos or Car insurance or whatever until one has adequate food, water, and ammo stores. But it's not going to happen tomorrow, you can calm down and smell the roses. It's been alot worse than this before, probably will be again, but the savvy and anxious will be ready. The savvy just may be more mentally fit.

I was homeless for 7 years in the woods while working a job. Now I live off grid on property I own. Social security Now. I was beaten in my sleep. Children would steal everything of value and cut up my tent and wreck my camp. Don't expect compassion from anyone. If you have a trash pile store your valuables in it before leaving. Be cautious of boobie traps. Only if you are in camp at the time. If a child or anyone gets hurt you might get ambushed for retaliation. Try to pick different paths in and out of camp. It takes 2 times coming and going to make a trail. Burn any cans or throw away food. You will be overran with raccoons and all. Fire ants are very intelligent! What looks like a perfect campsite may be that way because it floods in the rainy season and holds that water ergo no permanent plants. If you are in a group work together but remember people you trust can turn on you. How many divorces take place from a person that said they would love you till death do you part? Not to knock military but like the man said just because they have been in the military doesn't mean they can survive. I know this from experience. They had many people helping them. And now not.

Take the family that is unfit to survive to a safe place where they can live. The able bodied will leave as to not overpopulate the safe place. Come back for them when you figure life out and the world becomes more safe. Leave them behind, but not forever. Edit: wrong comment lol

@@matztertaler2777 You can get guns (apart from handguns) in the UK. It is possible to obtain rifles, but rules and regulations are very strict, police interview, no criminal convictions, secure metal cabinet storage AND you must be able to have a genuine reason to possess the firearm. Rules around shotguns are similar, but applied with a lighter touch. Plus, the police don't like you having too much ammo in your house, just in case you are burgled when away from your home. Hope this helps give you a outline of UK regulations, it is more detailed than this but my explanation will give you an idea of set up over the pond.

@@matztertaler2777 Thank you , I could have added that the police let your GP (General Practitioner), family doctor, know that you hold a firearms licence, in case you develop mental problems , or become depressed, and it is flagged up on your computer records. I got to help you guys out. 99% of realistic shtf events are nothing more than heading to the next city. All you need is an aquafina and a debit card. That being said, if we get a nuclear holocaust, you are all dead, even guys in bunkers will die as soon as their MRE's run out. If some insane global catastrophe, like say a meteor strike, occurs, then you are talking about total global collapse, without nuclear radiation, which means you can survive via nature, and THAT is easy. Bushcraft and hunting are about luxury. You will have ruins everywhere. There will be food and water everywhere. Resources everywhere. But very few people. You will run out of canned food in a few years. But fishing alone will sustain you. And it's impossible to run out of water. Water is easy to find, it's everywhere. There simply is no feasible realistic survival situation on earth that a 10 yr old can't figure out how to survive in. WAR is not survival, it's mass murder. War is the only threat to you. So, you are either getting killed in combat, or running away as a refugee. This ain't about surviving in the woods. This guy right here just made me laugh. Are we talking about survival? In that case man is the apex predator. Are we talking about global war? In that case, fight or flight determines survival. Not bushcraft. I mean, you guys are picturing unrealistic scenarios.

He does it for free and has made a lot of Ian’s friendships.

I used to be a big fan of Louis lamoure. His first couple of dozen books were great reads. He used to drop little pearls of wisdom into his yarns. One of them was "Buy yourself an acre of land. Keep it unencumbered. With that plot of land you can grow enough food to survive if hard times ever come your way." If you can't grow food then you are just kidding yourself. The day you open that first can of survival food the countdown to starvation has begun. It takes years to learn to grow things. Get started now. I would rather be a warrior in a garden than a gardener in a war.. Thanks for the video

I don't know you but you have been in the military. By Analyzing most of the other preper/ preparedness channels from a military survivability perspective. If you were the enemy and you wanted to take out Resistance fighters. What would you give for odds of survivability for someone who has openly revealed themselves and given you their location and told you that their plans were to hold out and plant a garden and raise chickens.
