@Navaura10 жыл бұрын
Fuzzy Wuzzy So what you're saying is that you have never gone through a temptation before? Temptation is something you've already done and you know that it's wrong but your desire to do that can be very overwhelming, especially if you're so used to doing that. When you get saved your desires change but it doesn't mean they won't pay you a visit, so llamasorus got paid a visit and Praise God that she or he didn't fall into sin. I know what she's talking about but I always keep this in mind. What's more important my relationship with God or my desire. How will I feel after I've done it? I've been there and done that, and it's not a road I would want to take again,so as a fellow member of the body of Christ, yes, I agree.
@llamasorus10 жыл бұрын
Brandy Mundy Thank you for your encouraging words. It's great to see the body actually be a body. Although you did build a straw man in the first question you asked and that's something we should try not to do. But hey I needed to hear words like yours again so praise God for that!
@fuzzywuzzy135510 жыл бұрын
Brandy Mundy I dont need to believe in a bronze aged religion created by people who sacrificed animals and thought the world was flat to know right from wrong. I'm smart enough to know right from wrong and what I'm personally okay with and what I'm not. I dont blame my personal behavior on some outside source trying to "influence" me into doing something other's consider wrong. I'f I do something wrong I take personal responsibility for it, admit my mistakes to myself, learn from it and move. on.

Try the short parts of the bible combing with long ones, historical with Paul's letters, Psalms and Proverbs with the prophetical ones. The hard one it is the second whole Bible reading. I have followed different approaches. Try a hard one: Professor Horner system. You'll go to read period, not to study. Having this fact as a base I have read it 18 times, keeping a record of this is crucial, try to have a tracking record chart. God bless your attempt.

God is always pleading at us, to choose Him instead of our sin because He knows that straying away from Him draws us closer to destruction. God is a jealous God, indeed, but His jealousy is not selfish. It is a jealousy that looks after us.
@lharamae341810 жыл бұрын
morning morality you are comparing your jealousy with that of God?? God is jealous because we choose sin over him, because He knows that sin is destruction. that is a very "selfless" jealousy, very unlikely that of us. if leaving God means leaving His absolute morality, and it's now legal to kill millions of babies (anyway u believe in evolution, telling u that u are just animals), or practice survival of the fittest, do anything possible to get what u want. no more respect since your happiness and self gratification alone is important,(based on animal instinct). a society with a morality based on their feelings is chaos, its like a government without laws. it cannot stand, u can only watch while it tumbles down. and i can already see it. i don't see anything in "better" in this life now that most are turning away from. media can attest to it

morning morality Hey :) just wanted to chime in and say even though that it may appear that we here in europe generally are doing better without religion, that is far from the truth. Studies show that in sweden, where I live, the amount of teenagers and young adults struggling with mental illnesses, general anxiety, and sleeping proplems has TRIPLED since the begginging of the 90s. Our National board of health and welfare system is falling apart, because they simply don't have enough resources to help everyone by this point. No other country has ever had this big of an increase of young people in poor mental health situations. My source for these statements are the SCB, swedish statistics, where are yours? I apoligise for any spelling errors or grammatically incorrect sentences, again, I am from sweden and english isn't my first language :)

morning morality you're deluded, there are more crimes in the world now than ever in history. Young children aren't even safe walking to school in the United States. Mental illness and drug abuse are at a all time high. More people were killed in the so called enlighten 20th century then in all wars before it combined.
@johntrevett29448 жыл бұрын
When a husband flirts with another woman other than his wife, it is totally reasonable and just for the wife to be jealous of that attention. That's the jealousy God feels when we, with our free will, choose to worship idols and gods other than Him. Keep suppressing the truth of Christ because you love your sin and don't want to bow a knee. In the end all your deeds will be brought to the light and your knee will bow. God just give people what they want and most sadly, don't want Him.

@jimmyjames67128 жыл бұрын
Andy LH, i think the Problem is yourself, deal with yourself first and then you can start with extrinsicals. To become a believer is a personal decision not a public opnion, so try to inform yourself about the person of God In Christ Jesus by reading the bible yourself. no one represents the bible , the bible represents itsself. there is a very big diffrence btn christianity and God, those are two very different things!
@jimmyjames67128 жыл бұрын
Andy LH,it is very interesting, that you and me read or read the same book and came out with completly different perceptions and views. It is the Spirit which gives life; the flesh help nothing at all. The words that i have spoken to you are spirit and truth. John 6:63. You can't read the bible like you read your comics, the words are spirit and only understood by spirit. You're like a child who digs a hole on the sea shore and tries to fill the whole sea water into that tiny hole, its impossible! Without the spirit of God, you can never understand any single word in the bible, even the word bread!

The Holy Spirit is the only way to understanding the bible, it uncovers all treasures in God's word and as it says The Truth will set you Free! Its sad to scroll down and see that the majority of comments below are from unbelievers who are here to bash Jesus. Even if you are not a believer of Jesus you can still appreciate the golden rule. Treat other how you want to be treated. No religion needed for that one. Please do not come here and make sarcastic and inappropriate comments on here that you would never have the nerve to say to our faces. At least we as Christians accept that we are messed people and we look to Jesus who is a man of integrity rather than being sad about it and hating on unbelievers. If a christian has hated on you in the past, trust me, they weren't a real follower of Christ. Real Christians are joyful and love everyone.

morning morality seriously? did u try to even do a research about the cause of worldwars? it is because of those "people" who wants to dominate the world, irregardless of the people they hurt/kill. they don't believe the sacredness of life of a human, they think that they are bunch of worthless animals that can be sacrifice for what they think is a "just" cause and for greater "good". isn't this what the materialist/evolution teaches, that humans are not that special, they are just animals? And what does the Bible teaches? that men are made in the image of God, and they have sanctity of life and is to be respected.

First of all, WW1 was started because the Archduke Ferdinand was assassinated. Had nothing to do with religion. Secondly, many do vile acts in the NAME of God. Doesn't mean they are OF God. Nazi's weren't Christians. Crusaders weren't Christians. How do I know? Because of what Jesus taught and the Bible. You know a tree by it's fruit. If they were Christian, they would never commit acts that directly violate everything Jesus taught. Men use God's name to justify their own selfish and evil desires. But you don't judge a man based on him SAYING he's a Christian, you judge him by whether he LIVES as Christ did.

Da Boo Thanks. I was an atheist too man. I know what thats all about. But I got one question for you.. How did this all begin? Especially now that we know the higgs boson particle exists, (we proved it earlier this year) and have reverse mapped the gravitational blueprint left behind back to a single point in space smaller than you can imagine. I cant even put that into perspective from something as small as a car expanding from something smaller than I can imagine. Seriously, we know everything that happened in the universes first fraction of a fraction of a fraction of a second. So before I say what I'm about to say... think about the universes 50,000 (observable) galaxies all expanding from a single point in space... smaller than you can imagine. So my question is, why don't we know the fraction before? Maybe because there wasn't something to measure at all, but I don't want to start talking _nonsense_ :) Read and decide for yourself. www.npr.org/blogs/thetwo-way/2014/03/17/290866227/scientists-announce-a-big-bang-breakthrough

Followers of Christ, do not think that nonbelievers hate you personally. They hate Jesus, they hate God, not you. That is between them and God. It is none of our business. Always forgive. That is the greatest authority God has given us is to forgive each other.

John 15:17-25 KJV [17] These things I command you, that ye love one another. [18] If the world hate you, ye know that it hated me before it hated you. [19] If ye were of the world, the world would love his own: but because ye are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hateth you. [20] Remember the word that I said unto you, The servant is not greater than his lord. If they have persecuted me, they will also persecute you; if they have kept my saying, they will keep yours also. [21] But all these things will they do unto you for my name's sake, because they know not him that sent me. [22] If I had not come and spoken unto them, they had not had sin: but now they have no cloke for their sin. [23] He that hateth me hateth my Father also. [24] If I had not done among them the works which none other man did, they had not had sin: but now have they both seen and hated both me and my Father. [25] But this cometh to pass , that the word might be fulfilled that is written in their law, They hated me without a cause.

NON-BELEIVER VERSION: You knobs have it all wrong. Non-believers are jealous you can put down something like Matthew 28:18 and everyone is blissfully happy and in agreeance. BELEIVER VERSION: Deuteronomy 23:1 "He that is wounded in the stones, or hath his privy member cut off, shall not enter into the congregation of the Lord" Now be nice and get along.

Yes, I do take heed to this message. I have realized that in this life there are and will always be many temptations. I'm just thankful that the Lord will forgive me for falling prey to them. I am and will always try my best to live my life for Him. I gave my life to Him almost 10 years ago and there isn't a day that I regret that. Life hasn't been any easier because of it though. If anything, life has been harder, but every time I fell, I turned to my precious Father who loved me through it.

I don't laugh much for the crazy, joke around, modern day, christian funny hour... But that China rice hat really got me, Francis!!! Good one, for sure! I believe the Jesus life is a serious one, not to be riddled with jokes every service, (now, if I would only practice my beliefs!) Yet, Francis does it better than anyone in my opinion, while still staying close to the seriousness of the "very important message".

Until the day breaks and the shadows flee away I will get me to the mountain of myrh and to the kill of frankenscence. Jesus have mercy on me for my wickedness and help me to heal my traumas and wounds. Heal me through your word prayer and love. I'm very mangled and my soul is broken. Please all the friends below please pray for me. My name is Andrew Kerr I'm 26 and formerly was bisexual, involved in the occult, stealing compulsively and a whole bunch of other things, addicted to heroin cocaine and benzos (pretty much everything at one point) and did lots of horrible things and hurt lots of people. My sin has opened doors and now I'm bound and oppressed spiritually. I need a special type of grace to break free from these spirits and to know Jesus more and heal. And to be delivered from my sins.

I’ve recently been born again as of a few weeks ago. Always believed in God and became a lukewarm Christian over time. I did shrooms, drank, but mostly smoked pot everyday. I look back and can’t believe how patient Jesus has been waiting for me (I’m 38). I have been saved by an angel or Jesus (not sure at the time) at least twice, but possibly 3 times. A voice told me to let off the gas pedal when I was going through an intersection, as soon as I did, a truck blew a stop sign that would have killed me. I also fell asleep at the wheel another time and WOKE up while driving sitting upright and very much positioned like a robot. I ended up on the other side of town somehow! Fell into a pool’s deep end as a child, somehow my mother knew to check on me and pulled me out. I had another experience where I was praying for a relative that was brutally murdered and burned alive years prior. I was HIT like a sledgehammer with unexplainable peace and joy. Instantly tears poured out of my eyes and I had the breath sucked out of me, totally winded. It was like I was experiencing the joy of heaven but my human body could not handle it! I also experienced an interaction with several demons in the basement of a psychic lady’s house who summoned them and spoke to them nightly. The fear and anger I felt as their eyes pierced my soul was like nothing of this earth......,over and over and over Jesus was calling me!!! I was too much of a fool to notice, even though I believed in Him! Last month, I heard a demon’s voice talk to me telepathically in my mind- “I hate you, I’ll kill you and tear your family apart.” With the most conviction in my soul I commanded that thing to leave my house in the name of Jesus Christ. Every room in the house I yelled at it. I felt our Lord blast through my house and beat those things down! Whoosh gone! I prayed and thanked him and repented for allowing them to get close to me. He talked to me telepathically asking me questions and made me feel the guilt of my sins. Lots of information as a sort of psychic download into my heart and mind simultaneously. Question 1: “After all I’ve done for you, what have you done for Me, and others?” Question 2: “Am I NOT enough for you?” Then, the weight of my sins lifted, it was incredible. Since that moment, I’ve had no desire to drink, smoke, blaspheme, masterbate, be angry, stressed out or sin at all. Wanting to share love with no other possible explanation. I notice the tiniest signs he puts in my path....I see them right away and chuckle, seeing He really does work in mysterious ways. I fully understand how to have a relationship with him and not need to physically see or hear our relationship. He is incredible people! Let him into your heart! I had felt in my soul the the extremes of joy and sorrow in my soul, through just some of my life experiences..... Feeling the presence of God and Satan deep inside through strange encounters. For that, I am blessed to KNOW Christianity is the truth, yet I STILL tried to not fully commit. He wants us all to repent and accept Him. He actually told me this! Don’t think you can sin all your life and God will be OK with it. He really will reward you if you follow with all your heart!!

He’s a little bit wrong on the part where “being tempted is your fault” because Jesus was also tempted, for example in the desert. I think a better way to phrase it would be that the flesh desires that thing, not “us” per se, since we are a combination of the flesh and the soul. 16 This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh. 17 For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would. -Galatians 5:16-17

That's why: if you walk in spirit, you will even not see a worldly temptations . I mean, they are not a temptations anymore. God bless you!

If I'm correct , we ASK God for blessings , to bless someone. God does the blessings , we are no one but to desires to follow him and be like him , ( Jesus christ ) . We have no powers over God, to bless GOD. How's that ? When i read THE BIBLE , it is written differently from that statement . ? I'm just trying to understand your statement thinking ? I pray to GOD for all to know the understanding of his TRUTH, with clarity oh dear GOD FORGIVE US OF OUR IGNORANCE . Forgive them for listening to man rather than your WORDS. Forgive me so that I may forgive others dear GOD . Please protect your people from sin , from SATAN . Thank you father for your son and that he died on the cross for me , for us all , died for my sins and he was RESSURECTED from the grave so we can have everlasting life, in Jesus name we pray AMEN!
