I remember asking Dovy if he had any Lithuanian songs a while back. IIRC, he replied he only had Lithuanian inspired instrumentals but none with vocals. These vocals were exactly what I was hoping to find as a huge fan of world music. I know world music isn't very popular here in the U.S., but I really think there's an appetite for it. Ancient music penetrates people's souls in a way that most modern music can't, It's healing. More people just need to be exposed to it. Thank you for the amazing experience, Dovy and thanks to that wonderful Lithuanian man for requesting this song.

@@donaldg.freeman2804 Not weird sir- just from a different part of the world. I come from Lithuanian heritage. Granted I don’t know much about it, but for my grandparents, great grandparents, and those before them, this was the music from the homeland. Mr Dovydas has put an electronic modern spin to it. I’m positive my grandparents would’ve liked it if they were with us.

Just subscribed because of this song. My father's father's parents came over from Lithuania around 1912 and since my last name is Lithuanian I feel a strong connection, ancestrally and spiritually. My brother and father and I went there in 2002 and had a very special time. I would love to go back someday. Thank you!

I also feel a very strong connection to my Lithuanian roots. I visited there in 2019 and fell in love with the people, country, and culture. I recently found Dovydas' music and am hooked. Hope to hear him play in person and meet him.

This is just beautiful. I've often wished that Dovy was in my town--but it's a small city, and not much chance that I'll ever be where he is. I've often hoped that he'd reveal more of himself, from his place and time. This is not, probably, from his time but it is from his place. It's priceless--and let's never forget what could happen if Lithuania is not defended. Thank you, Dovy, for giving this to us.
