Man, if he had a little more airspace in the box, and a center placed external 8" aero port firing towards the roof, I think these subs would slam twice as hard. But over all, it's very cleanly built so that is nice.

I always would put subs mounted normal in sealed. not inverted.

I didn't think the speaker would work properly if you inverted it on a sealed box. I've never seen this done before. Why doesn't he port it?

He went sealed because its smaller. Next inverting a sub in a sealed or ported enclosure does only one thing. Thats displacement spec arnt needed as no motor in the enclosure taking up space. The cone moving back and forth wether its invert or reg does the same exact thing.

It depends on how you tune your vented enclosure. I can play down to 20Hz @141db in a straight vented box that peaks at 35Hz @147db and plays all the way to 55Hz with authority. It all depends on the design. Sealed are good for small spaces and a smoother slope... but you can have smooth(ish) slopes in 4th and 6th order enclosures too quite easily. Even the slope for my box in WinISD is fairly smooth, with two peaks and a shallow valley in between.

@@user-uj8yk3lt6g It depends how you tune it. It's not always lower, but it's usually always louder in a smaller bandwidth. People make the mistake of thinking one is "better" than the other, but they have totally different use-cases and are going to be "better" based on the application.

Ok one the song is 💩. Get yourself some good music that plays hard bass. Slowing a song down sounds like crap and its like waiting for it to end already. Next i run the same subs in a ported 4.6cuft^3 tuned at 32 hz in a car and it slams my car. Everything shakes i constantly have people stopping to see what i have going. That box isnt good and not enough power. Always go bogger on watts when it comes to the amp to have over head. Example im using a cab45 to push mine. You have the setup and everything just a sht enclosure and song. I went with gp audio for my enclosure. 3in double Baffle center port Russian birch not rhe imitating wood. My enclosure standing on it backs with subs and port firing up would slide in your back row of your truck. Those subs hit way harder
