As a big sister I can relate to tae a lot being that I’m a big sister of 5 they stopped calling me big sister I wanna say 4 years ago and they call me by my name. They rarely show there love for me and I think it’s my fault because I was barley around them and I kinda distant myself to do what I wanted to do as a volleyball player yk I’m the oldest so I was always distant. The last they have texted me has been 2 months or so. Even now and then I tear up knowing my siblings are growing up and I wasn’t there to see them or hear them out. So when I first came to bts i clicked to tae and jimin, jimin mostly but Bts became a comfort to me, when i saw them in concert I broke down.

Tbh I don’t talk to my siblings either, they live in my dad’s country for collage and university while I’m staying at home, I have an 8-5 year age gap with all of them so by the time they’re done with university and already have their own jobs and families I’ll be on my first year on collage. I’m still close with them, we just never talk, so i understand how Tae is feeling, he clearly really misses them.

From what I understand, Taehyung was raised mainly by his grandparents while his younger siblings were probably raised by their parents. Then as a teen, he went to the audition with his friend, he was accepted, and thus his life with BTS began. While I believe he still returned home to visit and kept in touch as much as possible, it’s understandable that he wouldn’t be as close to his immediate family. The only thing I don’t know is the age gap between Tae and his siblings. Even so, it shows that he cares for his siblings in his own way; he keeps them out of the limelight for their sakes.

So when taehyung came he was only 15 yrs old and since his siblings where younger than him due to this reason they were not able to make a bond with him thats why they dont talk to him. Because imagine you havemt seen a person since your childhood evem though it's your family member how will you be able to talk with him or bond with him suddenly
