Messi, Xavi and Iniesta were not yet on their prime at that time tho. They were technically still second string players. Ronaldinho was Barca best player, #2 and #3 maybe Deco and Eto'o. Beckham also not on their level despite being a great player himself.

Ronaldinho... explosive and short prime but this is what he wanted, was never after scoring scoring... wanted to have fun, wanted life&football balance exactly the way he wants and he got it. As someone who has seen the very beginning of Ronaldinho "O Bruxo", even at youth international football tournaments, Ronaldinho's 'peak' in professional football lasted until 2006 at 26 (after his 3rd season at Barça). That summer's World Cup saw the beginning of the decline of the Ronaldinho that everyone knew him to be. Everything after that was more in moments and flashes but not as consistently as it once was. Barcelona were also affected because his last 2 seasons at the club, they won 0 trophies and he left for Milan. Ronaldinho at Milan, Mineiro, Fla, Flu and Queretaro was a player playing on pure talent but not at his explosive and undeniable best that brought him all those individual accolades.
